The food is excellent. Variety to choose from. Priced moderately. The people that work there are very personable & willing to answer any questions regarding the food choices. I recommend this place. It has something for everyone's taste.

This is the cafe for the workers in the Hyatt Center. The food is quite good, with an incredible variety and a great price. A few standouts. The salad bar has a tremendous variety of fresh ingredients. The chicken Schwarma is excellent. Homemade chips are perfect. Sandwiches, sushi, SOUPS all very good and freshly made. What's not good: The Pho. Stuffed into a takeout container, it dripped all the way to the register. Will not order that again unless they get big bowls.

Eurest owns and operates Cafe 71, as well as Fourk at 440 S LaSalle. Both are corporate cafeteria style restaurants, both open for lunch as well as breakfast. Although I no longer work in 71 S Wacker, I have eaten at Cafe 71 numerous times and can give my honest review. Some of the items of note: salad bar is excellent, great variety and choice. Grill is dependable for burgers, you order the way you want, ask for sweet potato fries. Chicken Wings are very good if a bit on the dinky side. It's not Mickey's Wings, but it is done right. Carvery can be hit or miss, portion control is not that consistent, so sometimes it can feel a bit light, or a bit heavy for what you are paying for. The oven roasted turkey breast is consistently excellent but will have you asleep an hour later. In my opinion, the best part of Cafe 71 is breakfast. The custom omelette station lets you order exactly what kind of omelette you want, my fave being egg white omelette stuffed with spinach, feta and tomato. The other gem is the breakfast panini, specifically the bacon panini or better yet, the sausage panini. What you get is two large slices of crusty Italian bread, with a large scoop of soft scrambled eggs, topped with two slices of american cheese, with two large pan fried sausage patties. This breakfast sandwich is then thrown into the panini press for a minute or so to heat things through, give the bread a satisfying crunch, and melt the cheese into the scambled eggs. That one breakfast sandwich will take care of the biggest breakfast appetites, sometimes I didn't need to eat lunch after stuffing down a particularly loaded panini.

If it wasn't for the horror of a Chicago winter, I wouldn't have discovered this place. But as it was it got too cold for me to venture outside for lunch, and I resigned myself to going here. But this isn't like your typical cafeteria at all. All of the food is really fresh, and with really high quality ingredients. Prices are fair as well.

This is one of the best office building cafeterias. It was 5 stars in my book, but then they remodeled the cafeteria. While the remodel did freshen up the appearance and stations, the offerings have been lacking since. 4 stars now. Would be 4.5 if I could.
