Does not accept credit cards. Cash only bar. Owner of the bar had a bad attitude, very rude and yelled in people's faces. Has so many rules as if the place was so luxurious. It's a dump, drinks are blah. Definitely not a place I'll revisit.

I recently went to the Jovial Club for a Sip & Paint. I ordered appetizers for 3 of us. My friend went to get 3 waters for us. The bartender proceeded to fill 3 plastic cups with tap water and charged her $3 for the tap water. We were told it was for the use of her cups. I have never in my life experienced a business charging me for a cup, glass, bottle of tap water. Pure greed.

Went to a brunch event today for Pete Chico. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The food was delicious and fresh. They constantly checked to make sure there was plenty of food, utensils and plate ware. With so many people who came they did a fantastic job accommodating a large crowd at the last minute! Thank you!!

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Depressing! Depressing! Depressing! Like the Senior Center opened a bar. Arbitrary 36 year old age limit!? Bland,flavorless fooda unfriendly staff. Dirty,dark and dingy. Will definitely not be back.

Walking into The Jovial Club brings you back to a simpler time, and this joints been in operation for over 70 years! Supper Club style with a large horseshoe bar and many, many tables set the scene. The first thing that you'll notice is that the staff is very genuine and treats all customers with respect.. you won't see this very often these days!! Start out with an ICE COLD Beer and scan the menu or chat up one of the local old timers. The Steak Sandwich is phenomenal... simple NY Strip cooked perfectly with grilled onions on a french roll. Burgers are also very good as well as any of the fish sandwiches! Clientele ranges from locals & construction workers during the day to a FULL HOUSE at dinner time, they said. Prices are cheap & I don't think you will find better food in the area! Must Try/ Talk later

This place is a real treasure, like finding a $50 bill in the pocket of a coat you haven't worn in a while. The Jovial Club has tradition. Two generations of the same family have lovingly run it for decades. The space oozes with an authentic blue collar charm that is hard to imitate. The staff is welcoming. You'll feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. This banquet hall/restaurant/bar has been serving up delicious stick-to-your-ribs food and ice cold beers to Steel Mill workers, School teachers and Bus drivers since the 1950s. Don't miss the Meatloaf, the freshly fried fish or the mouth watering steaks. You can't go wrong by spending a pleasant hour or two with the folks at the Jovial Club.

I felt like it was 1974 when I was at the Jovial Club and that's not a bad thing. The décor and feel of the place combined with EVERYTHING that played on the jukebox made me feel this way. Feeling like I was in the decade before I was born was....cool and good for a change. I will take pictures the next time I visit. If you're not from the neighborhood you will get stared at as you enter--not in a mean way, just a "huh, people were not used to seeing are here" way. A group of regulars sat at the circular bar and everyone seemed to know each other. I got the shrimp/perch dinner and it was $15 which is expensive for the neighborhood. I'm not sure how much the drinks were since a nice, older gentlemen picked up the tab on those (but I think they are reasonable). Food was plentiful and good. Yep, I like Jovial Club.

As a local I must say this is the best bar in the area. I absolutely love the old timey feel and how you can just sit at the bar, grab a drink and talk it up with the bartenders. They're so friendly and chances are they'll know you or someone in your family. Prices are great and the shape of the bar is something you rarely see. It's like a big snake! I've been here for events in the little banquet hall and in the bar area for dinner with the family and just to grab a drink with friends. The food is delicious and the music always keeps me entertained. I can't wait to stop in soon on a Friday night to hear some oldies!

Nice place for a small family party. I've rented the hall a couple of times already always satisfied. Carol is great and she takes care of her customers. I've had the catering from here and the chicken, salad, Mostacholli, sausage and bread are delicious. Definitely nice for kids too!
