Not sure how I missed this joint but so glad I found it. Larry's is a small cocktail bar in the Lawrence House, which was built in 1830 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Because it is located in the lobby of the apartment building, it is not something you see from the street. The bar itself is very small, but there are multiple seating options outside of the actual bar. You are permitted to take your drink to the lobby or to the outside patio area. Both are nice and allow for a pleasant drinking experience, but folks that live in the building sit there as well, on laptops or reading. The vibe of the bar is super chill, with this crazy red hue that I love. I am not a big cocktail person per se, but if you are into them like The Queen is, then you are in for a treat. There are also non-alcoholic selections for wines, beers and cocktails for those that require that. In addition they also have bubbles, so that is a win for me. In addition to great cocktails and bubbles, they also do "Summer Movie Nights" on the patio. You can bring a blanket, grab a drink and enjoy. Larry's does not serve food, but you can order something to eat from The Uptown Deli (which has good sandwiches). There is street parking on Sheridan and it is about two blocks from the Lawrence Street El stop (once it opens again). Now that I am aware of its existence, I will be back to chill and have bubbles, and maybe catch a movie.

Great little bar with an awesome vibe! Sabrina was our bartender and she was funny, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Drinks are well-priced and made really well. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!

Ahhh I really want to like this place! I wish they didn't present themselves as a cocktail bar....... Because the cocktail are whack for the price, not good cocktails. No Bueno If you want to enjoy a beer this is the place for you and the space is beautiful, the music is great and good vibes. And the bartenders act annoyed lol no bueno Okay in all seriousness larrys is overrated, overpriced and not worth the hype

i have been meaning to try this place and it was definitely cute. The bartender was super friendly snd gave me this non-alcoholic rec once I told him I can't drink alcohol. This place is very quaint and chill which is perfect to meet someone or go on a date. The third eye drink was very fruity and refreshing. I would definitely get it again

Larry's is a unique bar that is tucked away in this building. It has hip lighting and decor. It even has an outdoor patio. We stopped by right before the Pulp show. There was only one person working and she had her hands full with the long line of people waiting for a drink. They seemed to be out of regular glasses because of the demand. My friend had a shot glass of champagne as there weren't other glasses. My drink was El Salvatore and one of my friends got an old fashioned served in a shot glass. My glass was the only one that had a normal glass. It's something I haven't seen before happen, but again the line was massive and only one bartender. Hope this isn't a recurring thing.

This is a cute little space, hidden within an apartment building along Lawrence. It's almost like a lobby bar, but in an an apartment building instead of a hotel. Makes me wonder, would it be fun to live upstairs? We've certainly enjoyed our couple of visits to Larry's and we'll definitely stop back, next time we're in the neighborhood. Service was great and it's fun to take your drinks and sit and watch people walk their cool dogs by as they talk them out for walkies.

Had fun at Larry's - super laid back vibe to catch up with friends. My friend and I both had the bartender make us a drink based on our liquor of choice, which was fun. My friend's drink was lit on fire, which was a fun little experience!

The vibes here are perfect - elevated and classy cocktail bar meets dive bar meets library coffee shop. Probably could sit in this building all day. The lobby atrium space has so many great seating options for working and I noticed the cute coffee bar as well. Would be such a great spot for working from home! Larry's itself was classy, dimly lit, and timeless, open to the atrium so you could hear the live jazz band playing beautifully in the background. And the cocktail menu was soooo good! I only got red wine but the names of the drinks and the presentation was immaculate. This is a hidden gem that I would go out of my way to come back to!

Larry's is a bar tucked in the lobby of a new apartment building on Lawrence. It's a chill spot to catch up with friends and be able to hear each other over the music. You can stay in the bar area or if you need more space, you could take your drinks out to the space in the lobby area. The bar area is small but there's plenty of seating and it wasn't too crazy busy even on a Friday night. I loved the aesthetic the red lighting gave to the bar space and the funky art on the walls. They had great cocktails at Larry's! They have a cocktail of the week and a dealer's choice. I highly recommend getting the dealer's choice. You tell the bartender the type of liquor and drinks you normally like, and they surprise you with something! The bartenders were amazing and whipped up a cool drink for me that was floral + tequila. I would definitely come back here!
