Brand spanking new cafe in the medical sciences library. I hate when we are reduced to stereotypes but at one point when I was in there, all the customers were Asian-Americans. It's a comfy, quiet little coffee shop with new but pleasant workers, good coffee, some light snacks that could be lunch. The one thing I don't like is that this place doesn't allow the workers to take tips. Unless they are getting paid over $15 an hour, that's not right.

I've been to this location a handful of times now. I've gotten iced coffee, drip coffee a couple times, and an iced americano. None of them were particularly exceptional, but they serve their purpose of caffeinating (if that be your goal). I believe they use the same roast for all 3 of those drinks, which is a bright, acidic roast. If you're into that sort of taste, then this place will suit your needs. The employees are hit or miss. I've had a couple good experiences and a couple poor experiences--not rudeness, but not an inviting, pleasant attitude. It wouldn't keep me from coming to this location, but it is a bit of a letdown to be served by someone who doesn't seem to want to serve. All in all, I enjoy this coffee and the employees more than the alternative around the bend from here, but it won't become my go-to stop for now. For now, I prefer walking to Starbucks, although I don't consider myself a Starbucks person.
