A fun place with a spacious patio and a solid selection of beers. The bartender was kind enough to let me try a small sample after I couldn't decide between two of their saisons. I havent tried much else but it's got a lovely neighborhood feel to it.

Been coming here for 25+years and I gotta say, what is up with these bartenders with the terrible attitudes?!?! My last 3 visits have been pretty bad...especially the woman behind the bar this past Saturday...just not worth it to have someone ruin my time to chill and relax after a hectic week. Hope the management actually takes this into consideration and meets with their team, cuz I'm almost certain I'm not the only one who actually encounters this type of treatment. We always still leave a great team, because they pool their tips. Their patio is really comfortable and spacious, but I would much rather deal with the smaller bars and huge crowd down the street, at least they are all much more welcoming and really nice.

What an absolutely unexpected delight. We stopped in here after a wedding at the nearby Bridgeton Arts Center. When you first walk in you are in a small liquor stoor. It threw us for a loop. If you take a couple steps in and through a door you are in a room with a long wooden bar and a smattering of tables. If you keep going through another door you open into a larger room with an even larger bar, hightop tables, and booths and even a small outdoor patio. The decour is eclectic. Think about what you would get if you decorated the place only from garage sales in the 1980s. I absolutely loved it. It was a complete hole in the wall, but one with a lot of character. Service was good. There was a decent, but not overwhelming crowd on a Saturday night. We were there late enough in the night that we couldn't order food but there is some agreement with a Polish Korean restaurant (Kimski) that is either part of Maria's or just adjacent to it. I wasn't sure. Overeall a very cool place. If you are in the area, maybe for a White Sox game, and are looking for a bar I'd highly recommend stopping in.

Oh how I love Chicago... I live there for seven years and I would still be living there if it wasn't so cold. The thing about Chicago is that there's so much amazing food on every corner everywhere from the deep dish pizza, to the hotdogs, to the Italian beef, to the burgers. To me, Chicago is the perfect mix of New York and Los Angeles... Chicago's got all these little hidden spots that if you don't know, you don't know. So Maria's is one of those spots. Like from the outside you can't even really tell what's going on. You walk in you're like wow what's going on in here got myself a burger. Double patty burger called the Michael Dublé! I mean, I can't even begin to tell you like my mouth was just so thankful for the party that was happening. Inside of it was like crispy mac & cheese with this great sauce and this perfectly grilled burger and grilled buns and it was just an excitement of flavors. I can't even describe it any other way. I hope that makes sense. Maria is just a must have must have. We were waiting for burgers to get cooked and stepped to the bar and had a beer and a sake shot and then grabbed our burger and walked back home. It was an experience outdoor furniture, hanging swings and eating out this artwork that was amazing all over the place. I know this seems kind of disjointed and all over the place. That's kind of how you feel when you go into Maria's. There's so much going on and it's like so exciting because you can't tell that by looking at the outside, you gotta come in and be wowed!

Fantastic bar in the Bridgeport neighborhood. I stopped in recently with a friend who loves this place and Maria's lived up to his hype. Great atmosphere, good beer and Malort!

Bar. Package liquors. Polish Korean fusion (Kimskis attached). This place is the model of what our first Mars colony should aspire to. Great service, amazing beer selection and lots of space...especially when the patio is open.

A Chicago institution. If you don't like Maria's then you probably don't like Chicago. That's fine, but why u here? Maria's is a great place to chill with a cold one. They don't have a huge tap list,but they do have a nicely curated mix of local brews. They also have old standbys like Old Style and PBR. Even on a Sunday afternoon they had good music playing. Maria's feels like home. Thats Chicago.

4-5 stars for the cocktails, food, beer, patio and look of the bar. Prices are mostly fair. 1 star for the music which is really a huge buzz-kill to be honest. (You guys should stop being elitist and just put a jukebox in there.) 3 stars clientele. Used to range from cool drunken old guys like Ken who grew up in Bridgeport to IIT students and others, but the Kens are becoming very rare. All the hipster and yuppie conversations get really annoying to listen to after a while. I'd rather have the Kens back. 5 stars liquor store in the front. Great quality beer and wine selection and an easy pit stop to grab booze if you live close by. It's a craft beer oasis in a dessert of CVS's and gas stations stocked with Natty lite and twisted teas.

Walked here after the White Sox game. So glad we got to check out this gem! It was a beautiful day so we decided to sit in their large wrap around patio. They have a large list of unique beers and delicious cocktails. I got the Soju Like to Party frozen drink and Palmer's Pint both were delicious and perfectly balanced. I'm definitely coming back here to try the Korean food. The cheesy rice cakes are calling my name next time! Service was fast and friendly. The perfect place to hang out when you want a low key summertime Chi day!
