I was looking for a black-owned lounge with a happy hour, good music, and a majority of Black patrons. Thankfully, I learned about this lounge through word of mouth; otherwise, I would not have known because internet searches were unsuccessful. The DJ spun Chicago house music, old school dance songs, R&B, and hip hop. It was great. A few things: It's also not too crowded More men than women here Happy hour is 4:00 pm - 9:00 p.m. and the drinks were good Everyone was friendly and the neighborhood is safe The new name is Blaq's Lounge. Thank you, for a great experience!

I was there over the weekend and the drinks were pricey and I won on their slot machine and the owner refused to cash out my ticket. Im not the one nor will this be the last they here from me. Its sad we do this to one another.

Needed to host an event here at the last minute and Chris was overly gracious and accommodating. Very nice space, DJ had everything he needed there...able to have specialty drinks all while hosting a scholarship fundraiser. Will definitely support another black business in Chicago!

I was there on a Friday night. After being patted down and searched by security wand. I was told that it was a ten dollar cover charge. A little expensive for a neighborhood dive bar but we wanted to hear some house music so We paid. The DJ was excellent, the atmosphere was good early but the later it got the more thugs showed up. The music changed as well from house music to hardcore hip-hop. The drinks are over priced and my beer was warm! I would return to hear the DJ and I would arrive early and leave early. If you say that you are there for a birthday party they won't charge you the ten dollars to get in!
