I had an excellent experience working with QCruise Travel! I had an atypical situation where I booked all my airfare and hotels using points (which of course means a travel agency would get no commission). However I need someone's help in negotiating my itinerary, identifying proper lengths of visits to multiple European cities, and recommending/booking tour opportunities. Did I mention I also decided to go on this two week trip to Europe the Monday prior to the Saturday I departed...LOL. Rob and his team worked with me providing white glove service...they helped me with all the aforementioned needs and the tours they recommended were OUTSTANDING. I will definitely be using QCruise Travel again.

This is my opinion: Kevin Grubb or his staff sold us travel insurance. Yet it did not cover my medical bills! There are policies that would have covered me. Kevin did not suggest other policies. I'm not sure if they make money by selling this specific policy. I asked Kevin to look into this, but I received no fair response. In fact he failed to respond to some emails. We were in Europe and no way to come home without medical transportation, which the insurance denied the claim. The cruise ship he recommended in my opinion is an older boat. Keven holds himself out as an expert in this area and said that he received certain awards.

I'll admit I'm a personal friend of the owner of this place and that's why I chose to book previous cruises with them rather than on my own as I have in the past. However, what I found so helpful about working with Rob and David was that they took the time to really ask me what I was looking for in terms of activities, destinations, budgets, etc. They know me as a friend, but they interviewed me for details as they would every customer. That led to some very specific and expert advice just for me. My partner and I have booked 3 cruises with Cruise Holidays based on their helpful personalization. Because they explore many cruise destinations first hand, they have insider knowledge of what specific cruiselines and destinations offer. This is invaluable, and not to be found in any tour guide! And finally, their customer service expertise extended beyond the planning and purchase of the cruise itself. They were very helpful in answering questions about foreign destination currency and cultures, helping us plan details we'd never get from a guidebook. I also know they went out of their way to help friends of mine who had trouble with their luggage on flights not purchased through Cruise Holidays. The help from Cruise Holidays saved their vacation from disaster.

I wanted to update my review of QCruise + Travel. Owner Rob did contact me after reading my initial review of Kevin Grubb, travel consultant at his company (see review below). We did clarify some issues. Among them, even though I specified that I did not want a domestic carrier, there was one email in February that did note the flight was operated by United Airlines. All other documentation (4 emails plus printed itinerary) from Q Cruise never mentioned that fact.. Once I had questioned the promised $200 ship credit to Seabourn guest services, and they confirmed that there was only $100 credit, after two trips to guest services and 2 hours of my vacation spent on this issue, Q Cruise did issue a $300 shipboard credit. I neglected to mention that Kevin's flight itinerary only provided a one hour layover in Frankfort, which proved to be totally insufficient. I did question him on two occasions during our planning if this was sufficient time. He assured me that it was. If not for the extreme kindness and service of the airport guest services, we never would have made the connection. We landed at terminal A and had to get to terminal Z (literally) by walking at least one mile, several level changes, a tram trip and additional security check. It was the most stressful connection ever!! If the connecting flight from Frankfort to O'Hare wasn't delayed, and we didn't literally throw ourselves in front of the airport courtesy car, we would have missed our flight. Additionally, Kevin was not prompt in keeping scheduled phone appointments. On at least two occasions, we had made a appointment on a specific day and time period to reconnect. Both times he said he "misunderstood" that we were suppose to talk. I really want to be fair, so I did want to update my review.

These guys are great! Tell them what you want and your budget. They will also make suggestions. You get all the info for a variety of trips. Once you decide they do the rest. Even though they are known for their cruises, we just recently booked a vacation in St. Martin at a small boutique hotel that was fabulous. I have generally done all the legwork on line but these guys get even better rates for flights and hotels and it's all so easy. I'm sold. Thanks Kevin, David and Rob.

Rob and his staff were so wonderful!! We booked our Alaskan cruise for honeymoon through them and I am so happy we did. They were very helpful and knowledgable at the time of booking. When we arrived on our cruise, the cruise line said we did not have the drink package we thought we booked and Rob handled it right away and went above and behind to make sure our trip was memorable even with this snag. We will definitely be booking any future cruises through them!!

I used Cruise Holidays Chicago to book a three week trip to Japan. Rob was a great help and he had some very good suggestions which we did. Part of the trip was a nine day cruise with Princess line. This was Rob's suggestion and it was a wonderful experience. He also had very good hotel recommendations. We will be using them again some time.

I want to first say that we are a small company located in the Caribbean. We had several guests visit our company from the U.S. that found our company, thru 'Cruise Holidays Chicago'. What happened next, is UNREAL. Cruise Holidays Chicago collected money upfront from these guests, the guests travelled to do their vacation with us in the Caribbean. Cruise Holidays Chicago printed up FALSE, COUNTERFEIT Receipts and proof of payment tickets for the guests and sent the guests on their way to do their vacation. The guests presented our company with the (Fake) 'Proof of Payment' travel invoices, (unknowingly to themselves, after all, they did pay Cruise Holidays Chicago directly.) -The family was completely innocent in this situation.- We let the guests do their tour and honor the Travel confirmations that they presented us with, even though things did not seen 'legitimate' at the time. We did not want to ruin the family's tour. Once the guests completed the tour, we contacted Cruise Holidays Chicago and spoke to Margaret F. and explained to them the situation and was told that the owner 'Kevin' would be contacting us. Kevin NEVER returned our call, and additionally we followed up with several courteous emails. Still NOTHING. We were given the complete run around and no one at that agency EVER returned our call. Bottom line is our company lost quite a bit of $ that day, and we were never re-imbursed. Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL and SHADY. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMANY. Even though Kevin may seem friendly and helpful, he is a Very Dishonest man.
