Stopped into Sushi Nova for a quick to-go order and decided to give it a try since they've got a big menu and even an all-you-can-eat option. The service was relatively fast and efficient I was in and out without any issues. Unfortunately, the fish quality just wasn't great. The texture felt a bit off and not as fresh as I'd hoped for. It kind of had that typical "mid-tier sushi spot" feel, plenty of variety, but the overall execution was just okay. For the price, it's fine, you definitely get what you pay for. It's a decent option if you're nearby and want something quick or affordable, but if you're after higher-quality sushi, this probably isn't the place.

I would say that Sushi Nova is okay. They move pretty quickly and considering that it is all you can eat it is priced reasonably. It is comparable to some of the other all you can eat sushi places in the area. Where it fell short was with the consistency of the rolls and the flavors. Each round I ordered the same rolls and they tasted vastly different and it felt like i was getting more and more rice and less and less fish. The flavors for some of the rolls were a bit saltier and more saucy. This made me feel like the sushi was just a vehicle for the sauce. The appetizers were pretty good with things being crispy. The dessert ice cream was pretty icy. Service was relatively okay. Our waitress kept forgetting to put things into the system that was on our papers and we had to ask a couple of times for water refills. I would come back if I was really craving sushi and this was the only place near by. Otherwise, I do not think it is worth it to go out of my way for it.

Didn't get to try the AYCE in store, but my friend got two takeout party trays for her bday!! We had Party Tray A and Party Tray C. Party Tray A includes the spicy kani roll, spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, spicy 2 in 1 roll, and Chicago roll for $41.95 as of July 2025. Party Tray C includes the dragon roll, fire dragon roll, color dragon roll, and angel dragon roll. While all the sushi tasted good besides the one with the wasabi infused ikura on top, it was a bit mushy. Definitely quite affordable though - and you're paying for what you get. I'd get this again for a party just for the price, but meh if I'm paying a la carte per roll.

Ordered sushi for take out. Amazingly large portions but the fish quality was not the best in the rolls. Nigiri was great! Glad i tried it but would not order from here next time!

Ate here back in June after running a half marathon. Honestly, I really enjoyed my time and the wide menu selection to choose from. We were one of the first customers at the restaurant that day and the server was very quick to receive our orders in send us our food in a timely manner. Additionally, it came with dessert at the end which was a nice bonus. It definitely felt like I got my money's worth and next time I'll try different items!

At $32 per person, all you can eat sushi in this area of downtown Chicago is insane. You mark your order on a paper menu and hand it to the waiter. We waited until our first round came out before ordering more so we could see what everything looked like. They offer it sashimi, but you have to order with a roll each round. On our first round we marked sashimi and they only gave us one piece (the menu says 3 per order per roll). The next round we put 3 instead of just an X and we got three pieces. I loved the baby octopus salad and seaweed salad, but my favorite appetizer was the sashimi salad. All the rolls we ordered were so good and fresh. The carpaccio sampler was good also. The pieces of fish in the sampler were thicker in this compared to the sashimi they served with the sushi rolls. I can see why they limit this sashimi platter to one per person. I would highly recommend trying this place for lunch or dinner. The all-you-can-eat lunch price is $27 per person. We were here Wednesday night around 7 PM and the restaurant was not even half full.

A coworker and I came to Sushi Nova for lunch. Our office is close by. Service was very quick and generous portions of food. Food tasted great as well! Will definitely be back to try the all you can eat! Amin is incredible and made our dining experience very enjoyable :)
