What a gem this place is - my daughter got married there in December and it was absolutely perfect. Chris, Stefan, their planner Mina and the whole staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. My other 3 children all want to have there weddings there as well! The setting was super fun, clean and well organized. I loved all the plants they had throughout which added a cozy personal feeling to the space, the chandeliers, champagne wall, fabulous area for the bridal party to get ready, the roof top for great pics. We absolutely LOVED every part of it. Thank you to all of the wonderful people at The Carter who made this the best day ever. At the end of the night, my daughter turned to me and told me this was the best day of her whole life. That says it all!

I had my wedding here a few weeks back and it was everything I dreamed of and more. Chris and his entire staff was such a delight to work with. They really made sure the day went perfectly.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to have our wedding reception at The Carter in June. From the moment we first toured The Carter up until a few days after our wedding, Chris (owner/operator) and the rest of The Carter staff went above and beyond for us. Chris was super responsive, so easy to work with, and created such an amazing vision for our day. Chris knows what is important to wedding guests and makes sure to prioritize those things - short lines for the bar, guests having a drink in their hand, food served quickly, etc. Everything about the space is perfect, the bridal suite is huge and has so much natural light. I got ready in the morning in the bridal suite and had 10 bridesmaids, my mom, 2 hair stylists, and 2 makeup artists in the space and there was plenty of room for all of us. Our hair stylists, makeup artists, and my bridesmaids raved about the bridal suite - definitely a huge perk of The Carter! The patio space is perfect for cocktail hour, I loved having that outdoor feature and so did our guests. The entrance/welcome space is stunning and such a great way to welcome guests into the space. The main reception area is so beautiful and has so much character with the brick walls and chandeliers that you need minimal decorations/florals which was a huge draw for me. The dance floor is big and fit our band along with all our guests. We were very fortunate to have a perfect 70 degree day so the garage doors were open throughout the entire cocktail hour and reception which was amazing. Literally, every single guest of ours raved about the space. I could go on and on about how amazing it is!! There is also parking easily available which is very rare for wedding venues in the city. We were also surprised the day of our wedding when they let us up onto the roof to get some fun golden hour shots. We had no idea they had roof space that was accessible for that type of pictures! I can't say enough about the staff at The Carter. I already mentioned how great Chris is. Stefan was a newer addition to The Carter staff and we were fortunate to work with him in the last week leading up to our wedding. He was there to let us drop off stuff a few days prior to the wedding and he had everything organized for us. The day of the wedding, Stefan was making sure our drinks for the bridal suite were on ice, he made sure trash was cleaned up, and would continually check on us to see if we needed anything. He told me, "you're not lifting a finger today" and me and my bridesmaids were so appreciative of everything he did for us. At the cocktail hour and reception, the servers and bartenders were great. Food came out quickly and there were no issues. Stefan was even sweet enough to let us leave some stuff after the reception and my friend came by to get the rest of it on Monday. Moral of the story is The Carter is hands down the best and really wants to make your wedding day perfect for you. Our day was literally perfection and we have The Carter to thank for that!

Our experience at the Carter was great. We held our wedding here this past weekend, and it ran so smoothly. Chris was great to communicate with, the venue is beautiful, the food was great, and the staff was excellent. The security team was spectacular, and when a glass was dropped on the dance floor it was addressed immediately without our request -- they were attentive but not in the way. Stefan was LOVELY and is the nicest person, always made sure my husband and I were comfortable and had what we needed. You can tell Stefan really enjoys helping others have their dream day. The venue was very clean and is maintained well with nice furniture pieces. We had the best day, and our guests really enjoyed the experience, too!

This venue is a unique beautiful space in the West Loop that included an outdoor courtyard. Love the natural lights that filters within to the lighting provided as it becomes dusk...great attention to details with the design! The owner Chris and his team are great to work with and always puts each and every client's desires + needs to the forefront before anything else. Wonderful team + venue creating an amazing experience within The Carter Chicago!

My wife and I came to Chris and The Carter after our original wedding venue cancelled on us 3 months before our wedding. It was an absolute blessing in disguise. From our first visit on Chris was so accommodating, he was always available for any questions or concerns we had. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, from the exposed brick interior, the vaulted ceilings, hanging lights and beautiful outdoor patio. It has everything. The bridal suite upstairs overlooks the main entrance, so the bride may be able to catch a glimpse of her groom as he walks in. It's a very flexible space that really allows you to mold it into the vision you have for your specific day. The service throughout the day was everything we hoped for. Our guests are still raving about the presentation of the specialty drinks during cocktail hour. His team was attentive and made it an unforgettable experience for us and our guests. Honestly, it was the little things for me that really put this place over the top. For instance, before the ceremony, we had some beverages that needed to be refrigerated. Chris went out of his way to bring a bucket and ice and put the drinks on ice for us. He didn't have to do that but the fact that he didn't even hesitate speaks to how much he cares about your experience at his venue.

WOW. My husband and I are so honored to say that we were the first wedding at The Carter! Like many other couples, we had to change a lot about our wedding due to COVID, including our venue. However, we are so happy that things turned out the way they did because we absolutely lucked out with The Carter. Everything was perfect! We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the courtyard. The cocktail hour started with butler passed cocktails (everyone raved about the house whiskey) and incredible hors d'oeuvre. The dinner was amazing and the staff were great at making sure my husband and I had everything we needed throughout the night. The guests raved about the beautiful bars, the open layout, the grass walls, the awesome uplighting, cafe lights, chandeliers and exposed brick walls. I can honestly say that our wedding day was absolutely perfect and a large portion of that is thanks to Chris and everyone at D'Absolute and The Carter.

Perfect for us! Whoever designed this place got it right. Everything you love about classic Chicago architecture made hip and cool with a chic new design style. Management seems to really care, you are not just a number to them, and they work really well with our caterer. I also love the layout, perfect for giving our guests different types of experiences for different parts of the evening - night circus theme for cocktails, then fancier for the sit down dinner. Plus we can enjoy cocktails outside under the stars, lovely.
