Went for a zydeco band and had a blast! Top quality bartender and drinks, Svengoolie on TV, sounded like a great jukebox. Kind of bar that is hard to find these days: not about sports, but music and drinks. And if you need the sports, well, ok... Lots of fun and different people hanging out. What else do you want?

The interior design changes have been updated and nicely improved, I must admit. The staff is still friendly, and it's nice that some smaller dive bars are able to stay afloat amidst the global pandemic.

The owner is super friendly. Great guy. He's got great energy and you can just tell that he pours that into his bar. Recommend for a casual drink in the evening

Used to like this place but it's changed a lot. I was worried when they took the pride colors down from outside. It used to have a great mix of clientele. Not sure what they're trying to achieve here. The original Scot's was a gem. This is not. As someone else said, now it's just another bar.

Good drinking bar. Happen to be there when they had a band playing and it was off the hook. Kinda divy but in a good way, no food, decent but limited juke box. Friendly staff. Seems relatively newer to the neighborhood. I'll go back for sure.

Feels very similar to the previous bar, Scot's, which had a dive feel with a jukebox and not much space. Nothing special worth sticking around for more than one drink.

I went there once when it was called Scots. It didn't feel very welcoming, unfortunately alot of places have become that way, especially in Chicago. I have been spending alot of my hard earned money in Evanston, because at least I get treated fairly and with respect. Anyway I may give the new place a try.

This is a somewhat dive-y bar with a family vibe. It's nice to have the option in the neighborhood since most of what else is available is restaurant bars. They offer some good drink deals, too! My only complaint is the layout. When you sit along the wall or the bar, people bump into you all evening. If you're going with friends and want to chat, try to get one of the tables in the front.
