The line was literally out the door when I came here with some friends a couple weeks back on a Saturday morning. After I took my first bite of my veggie bagel sandwich, I began to understand why Tilly is so popular. The bagel was incredible. One of the best bagels I've had. I was also blown away by the number of combos/options available here, especially for vegetarians. I will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu. The person at the register taking our order definitely made us feel a little rushed but I will give this a pass considering how long the line was and how chaotically busy the restaurant was. Definitely would recommend stopping by here on a nice mild day and enjoying your meal around Grant Park.

Thank GOODNESS the south loop got a decent bagel shop (and dare i say one of the best in the city!) My favorite type of bagel is a lox bagel, and Tilly Bagel does an amazing lox bagel (and it's packed with salmon). They have a good variety of cream cheeses as well as bagel flavors. I also really like how they have a rotating 'bagel of the week' flavor. Definitely come here during a weekday if you can (virtually no lines/ small line) vs the weekend when the line goes outside the building (but usually service is fairly quick). Inside there are also a few tables for dine-in seating if you can snag one. Come here for the bagels; can't really recommend the coffee because it's just okay. There are better coffee shops around the area.

Super solid bagel shop! It was super busy (but efficient). Seems like a place that locals frequent (which is a great sign). My friends really liked their coffee as well. Something unique is that the syrup is self serve. They had a variety of options. Restaurant looked nice and CLEAN. Not a ton of seating though (maybe about 5-7 tables). The woman who took my order was super nice! Asked about my day and had a nice smile. I appreciate a friendly face in the morning!

Was craving a tasty local bagel spot and Tilly came up by my hotel. Got the Chicago bagel which kind of reminded me of one everything bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese. The bagel had such a soft chewy texture and lots of cream cheese! It got busy on a Thursday morning but went by fast. A few seats inside to eat.

The bagel was delicious. It is quite expensive for a bagel sandwich, but there is a good amount of smoked salmon on it. There is barely any seating so just be aware. The sandwiches also come out at a decent time. The coffee was ok, there are self serve syrups which is cool. Over all pretty good bagel!

Duuuuude these bagels are worth the wait. Super busy spot around the corner from our airbnb, but I was served easily one of my favorite breakfast bagel sandwiches of all time (Crispy potato "Sandwich" with chive and bacon cream cheese) Great service, good vibe, awesome food.

Stopped by Till Bagel Shop and really liked it! You order at the counter, and they have tons of bagel options -- everything looked super fresh. Service was quick and the inside was clean and inviting. Our group ordered the Crispy Potato sandwich and the Egg & Cheese. The crispy potato was delicious -- definitely recommend that one! We skipped the cream cheese on the egg and cheese and kinda regretted it... it was a bit dry without. Lesson learned for next time! Overall, really good bagels, fresh ingredients, and a nice casual spot for breakfast or lunch

This bagel shop was near the hotel and marathon start. Went there the morning before for some carbs. They specialize in Chicago style bagels. Line was really long with mostly runners but moved quickly and efficiently. A staff member was letting in people as others were leaving. One can order ahead or order at the counter (numerous bagels and sandwiches). Today's choices are also on a chalkboard outside the shop. Got a small hot coffee and a toasted sesame seed bagel with avocado spread. Coffee was smooth, sourced from Sparrow. The bagel was huge, like NY style but has a different breed texture. Still good. Sesame seeds were copious. Avocado spread was also generous. Overall great place!

Tilly's had great reviews and it was walking distance from my hotel when I was in Chicago last month. There was a line out the door when I arrived, but I was committed to trying the place out. There is some seating inside, but not a lot, so expect to take your order to go or wait for someone to leave (at least during peak hours). They offer bagel sandwiches (egg & cheese, veggie, turkey, chicken caesar) in addition to bagels with cream cheeses (plain, caramelized onion, sun-dried tomato, jalapeño, honey vanilla, chive & bacon, blueberry). Drinks for sale include drip coffee, cold brew, matcha latte, chai lattes, hot tea, peach iced tea, and water. I ordered a turkey sandwich on an everything bagel with plain cream cheese, lettuce, and tomato. I was able to eat it at the shop since someone had vacated a spot while I was waiting. This was a tasty breakfast for me; the bagel was nice and fresh and the sandwich was definitely filling. If you don't mind waiting, you should definitely try Tilly's.
