I've been here a few times over the years, my friend likes to hold fundraisers here. I don't have a lot to say beyond it is a nice bar. Cheap drinks, good selection, cash only is annoying but I won't drop a star because of that. The bathrooms are nice and the staff is friendly. Plus they have a big draw for the card raffle they do every week and I love their touch tunes. I enjoy coming here and I'd come here again!

Went to Tom's Tap for a party. It looks like your typical Archer Avenue dive and I had low expectations. I was surprised that the place is anything but a dive. It was huge. The bar is long and can probably seat 40 people. There are many table that easily sit six. Touchtunes is available and there are multiple new flatscreens to watch your favorite games. They should put in a kitchen. We had to order pizza from across the street. Bathrooms were spotless (always a good barometer of the management). If the place had a catchier name and did some improvements to the exterior this place would be swamped. Side parking lot is also available.

I echo the sentiments of a clean, nice bar with friendly bartenders and patrons! We were here for an event over the weekend and I had a nice time. They had a decent beer selection (but not super crafty overall), a TON of liquor and good drink specials. I got a glass of pinot grigio, and it tasted awful... I'm wondering if it was old? It wasn't dark yellow, but definitely sour. Not sure if it was just a bad brand or what... my friend who has been to Tom's a bunch of times said this was NOT the place to order wine from, so that I'm leaning more toward it being a bit past its prime... I still had a nice time- the bar stools were comfortable but just seemed a hair low to the height of the bar. The bathroom was surprisingly nice and definitely super clean too. I can definitely see myself coming back... just need to remember that it's CASH ONLY!

Standard sports bar on Archer Ave, it was pretty quiet for a Saturday night, no complaints, though nothing really stood out

This is the bar in which we waited for, and ate, our glorious fried chicken from Mini Hut. Not only did they graciously allow us to bring in outside food (apparently it's a common thing here), they provided plates, napkins, and silverware. Not entirely sure, but this seemed like a cop bar. It's the kind of place that has regulars who take their day drinking seriously. It's definitely a beer-and-a-shot and not a martini establishment. Drinks are cheap and the patrons are amusing. Each time someone opened their mouth to order a drink, I could swear it was The Regular Guy from XRT--that's how pronounced their Chicago accents were. I loved it. The Cubs game was on when we were there, and since we were in Sox country, the people in the bar cheered loudly every time the Cubs screwed up. And being the Cubs, this was often. I'll definitely be back next time a trip to Mini Hut is on the horizon.

Tom's Tap is the ONLY bar in Midway or Clearing that has a parking lot WOT WOT! Big, clean bar, and bathrooms, PLENTY of seating, and a friendly friendly crowd. This place used to be ABC Tools, but you'd never guess that. If they really wanted to to make this place the GO TO bar in the nieghborhood then they'd convert their sideyard into a beer garden! I spend all my summer nights there...if they did :). p.s. they card hard AND I LOVE IT

Great neighborhood bar. Very cold brews, friendly staff ( they let me eat my fried chicken from Mini Hut here) the old guys were playing some decent tunes. Great place to take in a game, very clean and updated. If you want a bar that you won't feel dirty in, this is your stop.
