Do NOT rent a trolley from this company. I bought a Groupon for a three hour trolley ride from this company. I immediately filled out the form to reserve my date. They never followed up with me. I called and when I finally reached them they told me they would call me several weeks before my reserved date to confirm. I ended up hearing from them less than a week before my event and they told me there would be a $45 surcharge - totally unacceptable! This contact came in the form of an e-mail and they told me I needed to call them by Friday at noon to confirm. I called twice and emailed. I received an email Friday that said they'd call me on Saturday because they had a busy week. I was very nervous about not getting my trolley at all at this point but had no other choice but to wait for them because I had reserved the trolley for a friend's bachelorette party. I called them on Saturday and they assured me I would have my trolley. The worst part came on Saturday when the trolley arrived and smelled like vomit. It was absolutely disgusting! Any way that's my story. Our driver was perfectly nice but I would never ever use this company again and would advise you to refrain from using them.

The bad reviews are true : ( They also go by Illinois Trolley Company and the 5 star review you see on google is from the owner of the company. We rented the trolley for our September Wedding 2021 that was 88degrees. I reached out the week of and provided all the major addresses (bride/groom/wedding party pick up locations, ceremony location, reception location) and wanted to confirm their was a working A/C. I was told the A/C worked, but was an older bus so wasn't as good as other, newer trolleys but 'no other groups they had worked for this summer complained'. The day of my wedding (like I wasn't busy!! HELLO!?!!) I got a call from the driver to confirm addresses/locations and was told, coincidentally * insert eye roll * that the AC started to malfunction the day before and they were 'working on it' but it seemed unlikely to work... by then I was not going to be able to just eat my deposit and get a different trolley so we had to roll with it. Our best man and members of our party had to help the bus driver with locations and give directions even after I had already sent address and confirmed locations earlier that morning. I totally think that the AC never worked, and they just knew we would try to rebook elsewhere so lied to us about it. We all just dealt with the situation because what else you could do and I'm forever grateful for my good natured wedding party, but I would absolutely not recommend this trolley.

I see the negative reviews below but I had a different experience. The owner/booker was responsive in email and easy to work with. Most reasonable trolley I found to rent ( and I shopped around). Our driver was very, very nice and accommodating. Perfect for what I had in mind for a bachelorette party.

Not only are the trolley prices the lowest out of all the other companies in Chicago, but the service is fantastic and the trolleys are very nice on the inside. Most trolleys have the wooden benches that aren't very comfortable, the trolley we had cushion seats and are not in rows but rather facing each other which is really nice! Alfredo our driver is outstanding! Extremely friendly and will do anything and everything to ensure your ride is the best it can be! I have gone through this company twice and it has been awesome both times! Highly recommend!

By FAR the worst people I have ever dealt with. I purchased a GROUPON from them when it was advertised back in like January of this year, and I was so excited because the price just seemed so PERFECT. Today one week before my wedding, I was wondering why I have not gotten a call or email confirming the reservations that I had made 9 months back. So I decided to write and email to the one listed on the website. Well, all my vendors usually get back to me very quickly, and 6 hours later they have not. So I called the number on the website, Angel picked up and told me I had to call Robert because he deals with all the bookings. So I did, well here was my HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE: First, Robert uses his cell phone for this business ( that's fine and dandy but you should be a little more professional when answering your phone). I told him my concern, right off the bat and his response to me was well what is the problem? EXCUSE me but what do you mean, we are one week away and no one had contacted me or anything!!! That's a problem, your "company" does not have any information or idea about my final itinerary. Well he proceeded to check his computer, and while he did this I asked him where is his office was located at so I can just take care of this in person, well welcome to reality "they don't have any office", they work off there cell phones only for a reason!!! Well he decided to check his computer to check my reservations and he was like yes we have you down for the 27th!! UMMM NEGATIVE, i booked for the 7th and I have an email confirming that my date is saved. He was like ooo well we are overbooked that day and I need to see why, but worse case scenario is you could call GROUPON and get a refund!! WTF I don't want a refund at this point one week away I need transportation not a REFUND!!! During the conversation I was looking at there reviews and I seen the bad reviews, and I told him about it and he began yelling and saying that I am accusing them and it is false information!! Well CLEARLY ROBERT, you just proved me right, he said call me back in a couple of hours and lets see what I can figure out. UMMM with all due respect I don't have a couple of hours, and why should I be calling you back, this is your mistake you should be calling me back!!!24 hrs later I have not gotten a call. I asked who the owner was he said ANGEL, lies, because when I called Angel he to, was like I am not the owner, well I am but I'm not. WTF again, you either are or your not!! He to told me he would call me back and has not!! Overall, they SUCK!!! They have horrible customer service, they do not care to please of help there clients even if it is there fault, and like another review stated they rush you off the phone. They do not want to deal with people!! Well now, I was a bride to be with no trolley. I decided to look up other trolley company's and I looked up business names to see who was the same company but just under an assumed name so I wouldn't fall under the same trap. Within hours, I realized that ROBERT AND ANGEL are not a company, but that is not my story to tell. You don't have a place of business for your customers, you have a website that only has WORDS, and you have bad business practice. Anyone can take a picture of a trolley and put it up online, that should have been my first hint!! Luckily, I have the best fiance ever, and he saved the day, I would recommend anyone to steer away from anything that is "TROLLEY", "ROBERT" AND "ANGEL" all together in the same sentence of paragraph. they are not someone who will make your day fabulous, but stressful!!!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!! I rented trolleys before and never ran into issues before. I decided to try a new place and I screwed myself over. The lights on the trolley did not work, nor the air conditioner and the speakers from the back of the trolley were busted so you can only hear the music in the front of the trolley. The next day I called the owner "Angel" to tell him about the issues and he promised me, he would refund me $100.00 one week went by and my account was not credited, so I called again he said he was sorry and will mail a check another week went by and still no check was never received. I called again and he claims the driver said someone vomited in the trolley which is a huge lie. I still heard he will mail the check but Nothing was never received. This place is a SCAM, They have horrible service!! I wouldn't recommend service from them.. zero stars!!

I did see all theses bad Unsatisfied groupon reviews. But, a good friend referred them to me, and i like giving people a chance. Fortunately, i had an excellent experience. Wow! Thank you so much for your great service. Your driver accommodated our crew like royalty. You have won our friendship. Great prices, great service, and awesome trolley. I would urge anyone considering this company to move on and select another service provider. Reserving the trolley for my event this weekend was the only "easy" part. Once reserved, it took 3-4 days for Robert to send me the receipt for my credit card billing. The day of the event, I hadn't heard from anyone to confirm, so I called Robert. He said "yeah, sometimes the drivers call before but sometimes they don't if they're too busy". I was annoyed and thought it was poor customer service, but moved on. The trolley arrived on time, and although it was "clean" (ie no trash on the floor), the vehicle itself was a horrendous excuse for the types of trolleys I have been on in the past or seen around the city. There were faded, lightly padded, torn benches around the perimeter and stripper poles in several locations. The entire thing smelled like gasoline for the WHOLE night. Thought it would go away eventually, but it was so bad I could hardly have anything to drink for fear of it coming back up. I specifically asked whether the trolley would have heat on it (December isn't the warmest month), and although assured that it would, it didn't appear to be working in the slightest. We all kept our coats on for the entire evening. Lastly, the driver had NO idea where anything was located in the city. We went to places like the Lincoln Park Zoo, Daley Center, etc and he either had to call someone for directions, or after he drove past it we corrected him. We gave him the address for the first bar we went to 5 times. LITERALLY. Not to mention his English wasn't great. Finally, (and by finally I mean by the end of hour 2 out of 3) we had enough of the gasoline and the directionally-challenged, so we attempted to head back to home base. We gave him the exact intersection (along with directions to get there), exact address, AND the name of the bar which has a giant lighted sign out front. We got there just fine, but instead of stopping he made a u-turn and headed back down the street in the opposite direction! I cannot make this stuff up. Serious mistake going with this company, and I hope anyone else reading these reviews takes them to heart!

My experience was strangely similar to that have Melissa G in that Robert is quite possibly the rudest, most unorganized and tactless business owner that I have ever dealt with. I made the mistake of buying the Groupon deal as well and booked immediately for my bachelorette party 8 MONTHS AHEAD! I spoke to Robert initially who told me I needed to go online to fill out their bogus form which does not actually do anything but waste 10 minutes of your life. I received an automated email saying they received my request and that someone would get back to me. This never happened. I called them to confirm a day before my scheduled party and Robert calls me back to look up my "reservation." He says there is nothing in the calendar and they are all booked up. I asked him how that is possible considering I booked 8 months ago. He tells me the form is simply a request and that unless someone confirms the date with me, it means nothing. Great "so why didn't someone get back to me as it stated on the form and on the email?" He turns the entire situation around on me and says "well why did YOU call us like a month or 2 ago?" EXCUSE ME?! Am I your mother? Why do your customers need to keep you accountable because you are not organized? His response "...well... there were a lot of Groupons." In turn, he told me the same thing he told Melissa--to go get a refund from Groupon. Great business model! Sell a bunch of worthless vouchers, make your customers fill out a fake reservation form to pretend you have a handle on the situation, never get back to these customers, have them call you in anger & blame them for everything. Going with Windy City Limos instead--they're AWESOME!
