OK so based on the reviews of the place I had an open mind when we got there it was really busy always a good sign, there was a lot of the blue-collar type vehicles in the parking lot tow trucks UPS etc. so right then and there I knew this was going to be a good place. Generally when you see trains been working men that sort of thing in the parking lot usually points to recently priced and fast and that's what it was but to boot it had really good food. My wife enjoyed the corn beef hash with Texas toast and scrambled eggs with cheesy hashbrowns while I had the keto friendly all meat omelette with no potatoes and no toast. The hash browns while looking good and they were hot yes didn't live up to The expectation as my wife order them with cheese and it was simply a slice of processed American cheese on top of the potatoes not even melted. That said she enjoyed her corn beef hash it was cooked properly. Mama it was served hot fresh tasting in good it was loaded with ham and sausage and bacon so I was quite happy. The negatives. I love coffee I thought the coffee was OK, generally speaking coffee can make or break a restaurant and it broke it for me unfortunately because I did not find the coffee good in fact when Put the creamer it wasn't half-and-half it was that cheap corn syrup crap that pretends to be cream or half-and-half but isn't and it's laced with horrible carbohydrates and sweeteners. and this day and age it's quite annoying to still find places that don't use half-and-half, and go the cheap route and use that garbage, when you charged $2.50 for a cuppa coffee you better damn well sure have half-and-half for me. What I go back? Yes but I wouldn't order the coffee.

The service is incredible but the food is hit or miss not consistent. It depends on how's cooking what day The are known for their ribeye steaks and all i got was fat and grissel I let the know about what they gave me and they did not fix the problem

Best Stake And Eggers in the state of Illinois hands down. I challenge someone to prove me wrong 24 hour location and they have some of the best late night food you can find

Always delicious, bacon is crispy to my liking and eggs also are always cooked as desired. The steaks are juicy and cooked just right. Service is friendly. Love the quirky signs. Ambiance is your typical Steak n Egger wood paneling with booths, plenty of windows and counter seating. Relaxed atmosphere with quick service. My family has become regulars.

A step back in time. I have lived a block away from this joint for about half a decade until one day I decided to try it. From the outside it doesn't look like much. But take a step inside and you're back in an 80s diner. This place reminds you of the one that got away and all the ones that came afterwards, with the 80s music playing in the back. The food is nothing short of astounding. They have everything from burgers to turkey to lemon pound cake. And everything is finger licking good. The staff is great and friendly and love to have conversation with the guests, and the food just steals the show. I'm now a regular at this place and the only regret is not going earlier

Waitress only came to the table once to take our order. That was it. Someone else brought out our food and we were never checked on. After sitting done eating for almost 20 minutes we finely had to just go up to the register to ask for the check. They simply don't care there.

So what do you do when you're in Cicero and you want some breakfast? Duh, go to the Steak N Egger. I have never heard of this place before and figured hey...I like steak....I like eggs, lets go! This place looked like one of those typical diners where you kind of have an idea of what you're going to get without looking at the menu and you know that whatever you order won't be that bad because frankly you can't really screw it up. Whenever my wife and I try a new breakfast place we usually order more food then we can eat and we order a couple of dishes as a measure to how good the cook is. The dishes also help us determine if we will ever be back again. We got biscuits and gravy, ham and cheese omelet and skirt steak and eggs (Mexican style, wtf is Mexican style? chopped up skirt steak with tomatoes, green peppers, onions). The biscuits and gravy is what brings us back. It was done pretty well and you get quite a few biscuits. The ham and cheese omelet was ok, they used honey ham and it made everything too sweet. I had the skirt steak and eggs, and that was pretty good. Too bad they don't accept credit cards and their ATM machine is busted. Overall, decent place for breakfast for a cheap price.
