Let me tell you about this place! We found this newly opened buffet when we were looking for a restaurant to take our mother out for her 93rd birthday dinner with a number of family members. I called a few days ahead to find out if they had a private room. Diego, the manager, set me up with the room and we had to make a deposit refundable after we arrived. It could have also been put toward our bill if we were paying for the group. Because we only had 20 people, we shared the room with another small party of about 20 people too. We arrived on our reserved date and time and were seated promptly. The staff were so attentive with taking away used plates, preparing ordered food at the Hibachi Grill, and keeping the buffet refreshed with food. A member of our party saw a small child touch food on the buffet with their bare hand and told an attendant. The attendant alerted the family member and promptly took away the food. The staff provided a small personalized birthday cake for our mom and sang Happy Birthday to her while holding an illuminated Happy Birthday Sign. We enjoyed ourselves and took a family photo near the entrance after our two hour time was reached. In short, the food and service were tops. Diego went out of his way to ensure we had a good time and enjoyed the moment. WE WILL BE BACK!

It's your typical Asian buffet. Nothing spectacular or different other than the fruit. They had fresh cherries. Food was tasty and piping hot. Kids are on a sliding scale. Under 3 is like $5 but older kids are more I don't remember exactly. Week nights are about $20 a person. Not bad. Hibachi line was a bit too long so I skipped it. Had some of the sushi and small octopi. Seemed mostly Chinese style cooking from what I sampled not much other styles. Still decent and worth a try. We'll be back.

I had to come back and check this place out when I had more time. I stopped in around 7pm on a Friday night. Considering that I live in Rogers Park and have to pass at least 4 other Chinese Buffet to get to Okini Buffet. I've read the previous reviews and I can say when I went all the bathroom issue has been resolved. At least in the men's room. I asked a nice lady "How was the ladies room?" After looking at me crazy she responded "Good." The hibachi line had about 3 people waiting, I didn't try it but what was coming off the hibachi looked good. I returned to my favorites, honey chicken, shrimp fried rice, lo mein noodles and the black pepper chicken. I also discovered the fried shrimp, crab stuff shrimp, sushi, chicken with mushrooms and broccoli. Everything I had was delicious. Too bad I don't have a second stomach. The atmosphere was chill that night I had a great on and off conversation with the couple at the next table. A variety of dishes, the awesome staff and a great value is why this is now my favorite Chinese buffet spots. One of my favorite tips I can offer is stir the food in the pan. The food on top will always be cooler than the food on the bottom. My biggest smallest complaint is I couldn't find any hot mustard and I still haven't learned how to do a perfect swirl for my ice cream.

Place is new, the environment is clean and beautifully remodeled. The food was really good one of the best buffets with really quality food & I MEAN all food was authentic if its own (Orange chicken, sushi)! The service was friendly. Priced very affordable with the variety and quality and cleanliness they offer. 10/10 Will be back again. P.S they also have Mexican ceviche, and guac !!!!

My fiancé and I heard about this new grand opening and had to check it out. The place was aesthetically nice but in terms of food, there can be a lot of improvements. I noticed the food was cold and I think it's important to keep the food warm especially at a buffet, the fountain drink machine also ran out of ice quickly. I think I expected more food options and better quality. Food needs to be filled up more because it runs out fast. I enjoyed the noodles but I wasn't a fan of the eggrolls because it had this reddish pink filling like the cabbage inside the eggrolls turned bad and it was such a turn off. There needs to be more options and like I said the food was cold and not enjoyable at all. I felt like the advertisement on social media was overly hyped and didn't meet our expectations. We were excited to try it and left super disappointed. As a paying customer, here are some key tips: Have a lot of options because it's a buffet and people like a lot of food options. Find a way to keep all the hot food warm because everything served was very cold and tasted stale. Make sure the fountain drink machine always has clean cups and the ice is filled because it ran out very quick. If you're going to do big advertisements on social media, make sure the food quality and options are up to par. Tell customers to stop taking the Siracha bottles to their tables and using it as their personal sauce. Have a note printed to give people instructions on serving themselves the sauce in the sauce container and not being greedy because other customers need the sauce too.

I will begin here, I have been waiting for a new spot to open where once was Old County. From the start, greeted immediately as soon we walked up. Very friendly staff, very spacious, clean location with plenty of space. The okino bunny is nice touch. The food started off slightly cold but it was a because something happened and they were planning on closing, but the food was hot after a little bit. Plenty to choice from the salad bar, soup and hot foods including the hibachi bar. Okini Buffet welcome to Belmont Craign and to Bricktown Square, see you soon.

Very disappointed- heard of this new buffet and we were excited to try it out. Multiple empty food containers, options were limited & options lacked flavor. The worst part was the bathroom. This place just opened last week and the cleanliness is already questionable. Broken toilet led to piss & overflowed toilet water. This lead into the main floor since people were walking all on top of it. I told the workers, didn't seem to care & no one cleaned it up. I would not return.

I also heard online about the grand opening and brought some friends to check it out. Filthy. The bathrooms are as bad as people are saying. The food was neither fresh nor being restocked. Some items smelled funky. Very hot inside overall and the cold trays were barely maintaining temp. $19.99 dinner sounds good (cheaper than most in the area), but you'll walk out hoping you hadn't gone. The ice cream is thick in a good way, very creamy. Sodas are Pepsi products (typical for buffets) I had hibachi steak with veggies. Steak smelled/tasted a bit off, I assume it was just low quality beef, will update if i get sick. I also had steamed veggies, sushi, and plantains. FYI: Most trays of stir fry had crumbs of meat, mostly just veggies left over. They did not replenish the whole time I was there. Few other issues also came up, but those are personal preferences (sauces, flavors, etc). I will not return and I think after this grand opening the place will just die out since everybody is seeing the same constant issues with building hygiene and food quality. Sorry guys
