I've heard of this staple of "Chicago Pizza" for years, being in the outskirts of Chicagoland doesn't always give me the opportunity to come check out these iconic places. I had no idea this was basically like an old home converted into a restaurant or at least that's what it looks like at first glance. Looks like it's been that way for decades by the looks of it, literally at the south end of a neighborhood in Morton Grove. Walking into it just reminds me of an old school bar and fairly small, the actual bar has literally like 4 stools. The service was great and very attentive courtesy of Stefanija. I came to order the staple right, the pan pizza! I ordered a half cheese and half pepperoni and jalapeño pizza. Being that I'm Mexican you can guess which was my side. It was very very tasty with lots of pepperoni and pickled jalapeños. It was like a medium deep dish is how I would describe it as far as the thickness of the crust. The only thing I would say is that the pepperoni on top could've been crispier but flavor wise it was great. We also ordered some chicken tenders and some fries, the tenders were very mid like the frozen tenders you throw in the air frier...not top tier tenders at all. The fries were perfectly crispy which I enjoyed more than usual. You can tell the place probably gets packed on a Friday and Saturday night just because of how small it is. I'd say there's probably like 10 tables maybe plus the couple seats at the bar. I would come back and I would love to try a tavern style(thin crust) pizza and see how well they do that. I give this place 4/5 stars it's not a 5 just because of the missing crispy pepperoni and just because it's not very comfortable at a two seat table not very much room. I will return and if I lived in Morton Grove this would probably be the place where I would always order pizza from. I'm sure the thin crust is great as well.

After years from hearing from others to try Pequods, I finally made the trek here. I heard it gets packed, so came in between the lunch and dinner rush. I highly recommend doing that. As others say, parking is tight. We parked across the street and dang people speed down the street. Also, I recommend your party to have 1 to 4 people. The restaurant is very cramped. Service- One person was taking all of the orders and getting all of the drinks. She had some help with running food. Plan on at least 40 minutes for your pan pizza. Pricing - fair They were out of their pequod's ipa but they do have a large selection of craft beer. Now to the pizza. It was only ok to me, didn't live up to the hype. The carmalized crust felt burnt. I did like the spice of the pepperoni. Glad I tried this Chicago burb pizza legend, but it was only ok.

Pequod's is always consistent and has some of the best pizza tomato sauce I've ever tasted in the U.S. Fresh ingredients, delicious hot pizza and friendly service keep us coming back. The only reason I dropped a star, is because they could a little better on the cleanliness of the Morton Grove location.

Excellent deep-dish pizza. We stopped by (original location) on our drive home from Milwaukee to NJ and had a great time. Thanks to booking on OpenTable through Google, our corner table was already set and waiting for us. They have a nice draft and tap beer list with several local options. My kids each ordered the Half Spaghetti, but "half" is misleading cuz the portions were huge! Both had plenty left over, and the meatballs in it were the size of stress balls- delicious ones! For the grown-ups, we split a medium Pan Pizza (their name for Chicago-style deep dish) with pepperoni. Medium is a lie. This thing could feed a small village! The caramelized, blackened edges on the crust were phenomenal, and even split three ways we still had major leftovers because it's filling af. Service was excellent! Pequod's also offers thin crust pizza, salads, and sandwiches, but honestly, the deep dish alone is worth the visit. A fantastic stop, and we'd absolutely go back. NOTES/TIPS: **Street parking was easy in this residential neighborhood. **Clean bathrooms. **Classic pizzeria vibes- wood paneling. Loved it!

If you're going to invest the calories and probable wait-time in an Authentic Chicago-style deep dish, this is your spot! They were fast, efficient, and to our surprise... able to seat us immediately, without a reservation (Note: it was Saturday at around 1pm)! You need to like-- or at least want-to-try-- Chicago Deep Dish to like Pequods, but it was tasty! The prices are reasonable and the local-feel/business vibe was awesome. Loved coming out to check-it-out, and support!

The place is very cool very nostalgic vibe to it. The service was very good. I finished my beer and within 2 minutes they were bringing me another. We ordered 2 pan pizza's a pepperoni and a pepperoni and sausage the "burnt" edges did not disappoint. Whole family enjoyed it.

Dear Pequod's, There is no world in which there is an acceptable excuse for the toilets locations in the dining area. The food doesn't matter when every moment and interior wind gust breathes... toilet. Let me break this down: Delicious salad. Toilet. Yummy appetizers. Toilet The pizza is 5-Stars-Great! - Toilet. The staff is cool. They served us next to the toilets. I am sure the thought is that I am the only one who cares about this weird layout - but trust me, I am the one who matters. Change it.

Pizza is decent just that it's too small and not a fan of the thin crispy burnt edges... the inside pieces were good and well made. However there isn't anything special that I would rave about. But the biggest issue is that a medium pizza with 5 toppings is 44!!! That's just insane honestly . If you did deep dish it would be even more ... I don't think any single medium pizza should ever be over 40 dollars. That's wild - I'm surprised it was packed too , ppl really got a pizza spending fund or something.

My favorite pizza ever! It's has a super crunchy bottom and great breading. The servers are so nice too ! The beer menu is basic, and the parking is street parking. But again this is my favorite pizza ever and I think everyone should try it! It's more "tavern" style I suppose rather than Chicago deep dish style, but it's still thick and cheesey!!
