They called me three times and I confirmed every time when I showed up the airport no one would answer the phone and I could not get a hold of anybody so I had to go to Alamo and rent a car for four times as much. I was not happy.

I'm so upset. I rented from them last week and paid my bill in full. They even put a 350.00 hold on my card for two days after I picked my car up because I used my debit card. Today I noticed that $100.00 was taken out of my checking account. I was just getting ready to go inside of Jewel, to get groceries, but now I can't, because of their mistake! I'm sooo mad right now!

Airport pickup was easy. Just a phone call away. No long lines. The car was clean, reliable, and low mileage. I would rent from them again

The car we rented was excellent. A little Nissan Sentra that was clean and dependable. That was all we needed for a four day rental to zip around Chicago and South Bend The guys were friendly and helpful.

I rented a car at Akron-Canton Airport in Ohio on December 22 at 3 PM. I arrived at 2:30 PM, and the lady at the desk started to process my reservation but suddenly stopped and told me she couldn't continue because my appointment was at 3 PM and she couldn't do anything until then. I had to wait 20 minutes, even though there was no one else there; I was the only customer. When I returned, she was talking to a man (not a client), and apparently, I interrupted her conversation. She then began to behave very rudely toward me. Her response to all my questions was, "I don't know, ma'am; you have to investigate." She did not give me a tour of the car. She was going to give me an electric car, which I didn't ask for because I didn't know how to use it. She also failed to explain that the car had a damaged driver's light. I had to stop to charge the car multiple times, sometimes in lonely places where there were multiple risks. My trip, which was supposed to take six hours, ended up taking twelve hours, all because the lady held a grudge since she felt I had interrupted her. This caused her to refrain from helping me. Her behavior was unprofessional and rude, and I had a horrible experience as a result. Because of this, I will never rent a car from Hertz again. I hope this message reaches someone who cares about this business and pays attention to this criticism, as she made my day terrible and my experience the worst I've had while renting a car.

rented a car from this company through a third party. (I mention this company because I don't want in anyway to disparage the third party.) My very first impression of the company is not very professionally based on the pick up from Midway Airport. I was told Not to go to the car rental shuttle pick up but go to the curbside on the far side of airport arrivals. Very confusing as the traffic assistant was redirecting us to shuttle service. After calling back to the rental car service we were reprimanded and sent back to curbside... After about 45 minutes and older minivan with a sticker on the side picked myself and too many other people up to drive us to the car rental. When I say, WOW!!" That's an understatement. The only attendant was engaged in an all out verbal phone confrontation with someone who hadn't returned a rental. He later put me in a smoked out car with I refused to take them provided a red Dodge with bullet holes which he called minor. The car didn't work well I returned the car early and informed them of the issue. They REFUSED to refund for the days I DIDN'T have the car. This place is very shady!!! Please simply go rot a legitimate car rental company. The name of this company tells the true story of what they provide Run!!!

My experience has always been smooth sailing. The cars are always clean, and the staff goes above and beyond on my behalf. Mr. Derrick has always provided me with exceptional customer service. He always thoroughly explains the costs associated with renting a car from them and there are no hidden charges and/or fees. My motto is why go anywhere else when I can go to Rent-A-Wreck.

I would not be renting from this place ever again. The $10 to $20 a day you save from car rentals at the airport you lose twice as much from the surcharges they charge you for all the tolls in Chicago. Three days was $76. They do not give you the option of paying by plate.
