Tacos locos has been a taco join I've avoided for a long time. Years ago (8+ years) I had a bad experience and have avoided the place ever since. Today I figured it was time to give another shot and it just goes to show that sometimes you need to try a place again to see if maybe the last time was just a one off like. Tacos Locos is situated in a tiny strip mall. There is parking and it has a surprising amount of inside seating for such a small place. At the register I was greeted by a younger man who promptly took my order and as he was typing the order the cook was watching and already getting the food in the grill. To say the food is quick is an understatement. I got a chicken taco and a steak burrito. Not crazy frills or artisan tacos here. This place is all about authentic tacos w minimal ingredients. The chicken taco was alright, it was a pulled chicken tinga, I thought it could use a little more flavor but what I liked is that it was not dry. It can topped with lettuce tomato and onion. Next I had the burrito, it was fresh off the grill tiny pieces of inside skirt steak. This isn't some juicy flank or outside skirt steak but then again that wasn't my expectation. The burrito was pretty good. I grabbed the red salsa which the lady serving my food said was spicy. I thought it was a good heat and flavor although it was a bit on the watery side. Overall the experience was good and If you're looking for traditional tacos and or need a quick fix this place is for you. If you're looking for something special and different then look someplace else.

First AND LAST time I'll go here!!!! I ordered a steak torta and two pastor tacos and when I was leaving with my order the bag DIDN'T feel like 18$. I sat in my car because I was not going to let this food get cold and first looking at the wrapping I thought they messed up my order and gave me a small size burrito and when I opened it, it looked like a very small torpedo sandwich. This "torta" had no flavor, very little meat so I had to drown it with their mediocre salsa. The two tacos were as small a street taco size and the pastor was lacking explosive taste. Just an OVERPRICED establishment with bland flavor. There are a lot more options in this neighborhood, I didn't see a Taco Bell though.

I am no longer in the area, but was in the neighborhood so got some Tacos Locos (steak) tacos to go. Unfortunately the steak quality seems to have declined a bit since pre-pandemic. The steak in the Tacos Locos that we got was a bit tough to chew and tasted a bit gamey. I had to drown it in salsa to finish eating them. Also in opposite to my prior experience, the service was very good this time.

Without a doubt.....the best steak tacos in Chicago.....PERIOD!!! Not all loaded up with cheese and beans and pico de gallo. These babies have steak, sour cream, grilled onions and are addictive!!! Do NOT pass this place up! Anyone from out of town staying in Rosemont, Tacos Locos is a can't miss!

Tacos Locos is a tiny strip mall gem serving up ample portions of flavorful eats. We were on a drive from Louisville to Milwaukee and needed a bite to eat. Not knowing the area, we consulted the Yelp app to see if there were any local businesses nearby (as we noticed a lot of chains). Tacos Locos popped up! It's a small space, but they do have several tables (mostly for two). I noticed plenty of people dropping in for takeout orders as well. I ordered their chicken quesadilla, which was huge and flavorful. It came served with both sour cream and guac. The dining room was impeccably clean, the service was friendly, and our food came out quickly. The only down side to the experience was the radio they had playing while we were there. Holy volume. Like whoa. We could seriously hardly carry on a conversation. My suggestion? Take out.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! The don't cook your food they microwave it. They charge 4.50 for chips and Salsa. Every Mexican Restaurant I've ever been to gives you complimentary chips and salsa when you sit down. I had to send my food back because everything was cold, even the rice and beans. i asked for a glass of water and was told they don't give water, you have to pay for a bottle water. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

The service was good, but the food was terrible. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. I ordered a steak tacos Loco and a steak burrito dinner. The taco was so small. It had a strip of meat on it, but it didn't taste like steak. It was more like a piece of a roast. The steak on the burrito was like mush!! It was finer than ground meat. I know some Mexican restaurants put mixed veggies in their rice, but their's was so bland. The refried beans were the only thing good. It came with a small soup. I threw it out because I was so disappointed with the rest of the meal.
