Started with some drinks. The Paw Paw Margarita was good. We shared all of our plates, mushrooms, lumpia and chicken small plates were delicious.
Then for the large plates we had the short ribs and the seafood platter. The server informed us it was new on the menu. The lobster was the best of the platter.
Don’t skip desert.

Delicious modern filipino food!  Coming back to try more dishes in this cute Chicago city space.  Sizzling Sigsig was good with the garlic rice, whole fish inasal was great with the accoutrements.  I also enjoyed their take on the upscale ube ice cream sandwich. Definitely recommend eating at Boonie’s.

First time in Chicago and decided to come to Boonie's. First off the place looks cozy, warm, inviting and upbeat. Great music and a very basic menu for the most part but i underestimated the food. It was great and the waiter recommended us to take our time and order everything at once so they could plan it as a multi course meal. So we got the 1 Whole Fish Inasal, 2 Sizzling Sisig, 3 Sugpo, 4 Laing, 5 Bagnet, 6 Shanghai Lumpia, and a 7 BBQ plate. 1 the Fish was great not a big fish fan but it had a lot of flavor and wasnt dry. 2 the sizzling sisig was the best we got the egg the lime everything  was goood about. 3 the sugpo was this shrimp and it was also really good, great flavor. Overall great experience and they even personalized a card for my birthday (:

Great new place to try modern Filipino food with traditional flavors. Server Carson was very knowledgeable. Easy to find parking and lovely ambiance for a date night. We got the specials Kinilaw and Charcoal grilled whole fish. Delish!

LOVE boonies!! Our server was just the nicest person ever, she gave great recommendations and made the dinner a great experience. The food was outstanding. Everything we ate was flavorful and so well made. We loved it all! I can't wait to come back.
