Open on Christmas day, and only a 20 minute wait for a 6 top. Excellent service, fun & festive atmosphere, amazing food with very large portions. This place is an absolute downtown Chicago must go. Their servers are fast, efficient, and professional. The food is expertly prepared and incredibly delicious. Get coffee! Don't sleep on this place. I promise it's worth the wait and worth the money. You for sure will leave satisfied.

Roz was at the front desk watching the people waiting to eat. She suggested the turkey burger which was echoed by three other staff members. We went with the Reuben, the Salami valor, latke platter, pickles, and an unbelievable carrot cake. 120% we would eat here again and happily wait the time to get a seat

It’s like 5 mins walk from our building and I walk past by it all the time and I can’t believe we visited it the first time only recently. We were there a Sunday morning around 9 and it’s already mostly full. We were luckily to get a table in 5mins. Love the decor, very cool and retro. We had the French toast and the harsh bowl. Both tasted great. The craft root beer was also great. Service was very nice and fast.

I am now a fan of turkey pastrami.  I took the half sandwich and half soup option for lunch. The sweet and sour cabbage soup was very tasty.  The sandwich was on rye bread, which was amazingly soft and tasty as well. The pastrami sandwich was very basic, with only the meat bread and cheese.l served. You add on your own condiments.  The iced tea is delicious and the atmosphere is fun.  I love the music selection.

Walked in on a weekend took a while to be seated, but once we were sat down or order was taken and our food was brought to us quickly. Everything tasted so good, the pancakes are so thick, like eating a mini cake. The house potatoes are so good,  seasoned just right a must have. Everything is worth the price and it is pricey.

Efter att ha väntat i 30 minuter kastade tsaren ut oss eftersom han inte gillade vår attityd. En total idiot. Gå bara hit om du vill bli behandlad som skit.

Vi anlände med vårt parti till restaurangen och fick veta att det var en 30 minuters väntan. Punkt i slutet av 30 minuters väntan vårt namn kallades och vi gick längst fram i kön och vilken punkt värden berättade för oss att vi inte kan gå in i restaurangen ännu och behövde sitta och kunde inte se oss själva och behövde stå i ett visst område i lobbyn. Inget av detta var märkt. Och värden hade en ganska attityd. Ordspråket ”kunden har alltid rätt” verkar apropå detta. Värd sedan närmade oss efter att vi var frustrerade och frågade om vi hade ett problem. Vi blev då ombedda att lämna restaurangen. Jag har ätit på många restauranger runt om i landet de senaste 50 åren och jag har aldrig blivit ombedd att lämna en restaurang någonsin. Jag skulle inte rekommendera denna plats till min hund om du inte vill behandlas som en hund. Undvik denna plats till varje pris.

Maten var fantastisk. Det fanns många bra val. Läget var mycket bekvämt till vårt hotell. Skulle definitivt gå tillbaka när i stan.

Jag kollade in denna plats på nätet på youtube och det gjorde ingen besviken. Stämningen är stor, maten är nästa nivå också. Servrarna var mycket uppmärksam. Jag beställde kaffe, root beer och chicago style Philly. Kaffe var bra, root beer var trevligt och uppfriskande, och smörgåsen var bra också. Jag hade tur genom att vara ensamresenär och behövde inte vänta. Denna restaurang var mycket upptagen lördag a. m, men det var helt värt det.

Elva City Dinner är fantastiskt! Vår Chicago värd visste att en bokning behövdes, så efter att alla i vårt sällskap av sju anlände, vi satt omedelbart! IT är alltid trevligt att äta frukost på restaurang, men alla menyalternativ var så lockande att IT var svårt att välja. Våra val inkluderade: flera Bad A # @! Frukost Sandwich's, 11 City Belgiska Våffla med Bacon, ett barns Pannkaka måltid, och 3 - Tom Waits 2 am Breakfast 1987 . Alla portioner var stora, men Tom Waits frukostar var humongous! Vi var alla mätta, och NO kunde avsluta sina läckra måltider. Den enda besvikelsen var att de varma dryckerna inte var varma! De var knappt ljumma. Servern var nog upptagen, och de satt och väntade länge. Bra frukost, och vi kommer tillbaka! Vi hoppas kunna prova lunchutbudet även i framtiden!

Detta är en restaurang som du vill berätta för dina vänner och familj om. . Vi var 10 stycken, varav tre barnbarn under 11 år . Upplevelsen börjar så fort du öppnar dörren och ser alla fantastiska minnessaker visas upp. Vi väntade inte länge och vi förs upp till andra våningen med utsikt över stora matsalen. Vår server Erika var hårt - arbetar och uppmärksam. De olika smakerna och smakerna är precis av denna värld. 
Var noga med att beställa en av deras Bloody Mary’s. De var jättegoda och proppfulla med grönsaker.

Som ett sällskap på fyra personer gick vi in och satte upp vårt namn på väntelistan för lördagslunch. Musiken sprängdes. Efter tjugo minuters väntan satte vi oss. Vi skrek bokstavligen åt varandra för att bli hörda. Vi bad om att musiken skulle skruvas ner och fick höra ”nej.... detta är en energirik plats”. Vi reste oss och gick ut.

Bra mat, bra atmosfär, stället luktar och ser lika bra ut som maten smakar. Glutenfritt bröd var mycket bra. Servern var stor, och tillgodosett vårt behov av att komma till ett flyg på Midway. Riktigt bra ställe.

Jag vet inte varför någon kommer hit när det finns så många andra bra ställen i grannskapet. Servicen är så oförskämd från det ögonblick du går in genom dörren och maten är helt medioker. Jag bevittnade just hur värden ropade på en gentleman som inte kunde höra henne över den höga musiken. Istället för att inse att det var den höga musiken som var problemet, började hon skrika på honom på spanska (nåja, egentligen inte - bara ”senor”) och antog att han inte talar engelska. Han talar visst engelska.

Synd att de bara är öppna till 16:00. Jag kände att vi kammade hem jackpotten med middag kvällen innan på Mano a Mano sedan detta matställe som ligger långt ifrån ett dyk. Servitörer uppmärksammar borden. Maten serveras varm när den ska vara, kall när den ska vara. Mycket stora smörgåsar (corned beef yum) utmärkta och inte feta latkes, lox och ägg välgjorda som var matzo brei.

Jag kan inte säga nog underbara saker om vår upplevelse på Eleven City Diner! Från det ögonblick vi gick in, personalen fick oss att känna sig så välkomna, och deras uppmärksamhet verkligen stod ut. Vår server, Alexis, var fantastisk - tankeväckande, vänlig och full av bra rekommendationer. 

En speciell shoutout till din ledningsgrupp också! Söndag kan ofta kännas som en tuff dag på restauranger, men ditt team utstrålade positivitet. Min mormor, som kan vara lite av en handfull ibland, behandlades som kungligheter. En av dina chefer tog henne en stol och tillbringade även några minuter med att prata med henne, vilket absolut gjorde hennes dag. Hon vände sig till oss och sa: "Du förstår, jag har det fortfarande!" – ett ögonblick vi alla kommer att vårda. 

Maten? Otroligt! Alexis föreslog att vi skulle smaka den franska toast som förrätt, och wow, den var av denna värld. Bloody Mary och cappuccino espresson var lika fantastiska, vilket gör den perfekta parningen. Utöver maten var stämningen på restaurangen helt fantastisk – rolig, levande och så unikt cool. 

Vi kan inte vänta med att besöka Chicago igen bara för att komma tillbaka. Eleven City Diner, vänligen överväg att öppna en plats i Alabama — vi skulle vara dina största fans!
