We very much enjoyed our three night stay at this hotel. The room was fairly spacious and the soaking tub was a worthy splash. We enjoyed the complimentary wine hour and the comfortable lounge. The gym was very well equipped, clean and pleasant to use. I loved the grand old building and didn't mind it meant a more unconventional lobby layout.

The staff was very helpful and communicative when I lost an item in my room in helping me retrieve it 🙏

One thing. I wish there had been a good room-service option. It's just an amenity that takes things up a notch that seems to be lacking at many higher end hotels in the U.S.

I had a wonderful stay at the Kimpton Gray Hotel and would highly recommend it! The hotel’s decor is modern and elegant, with a sleek, upscale feel that made my stay feel luxurious. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities like plush bedding.

The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure I had everything I needed. I also enjoyed the rooftop bar—great cocktails and a lovely view of the city.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again for its excellent service, stylish atmosphere, and convenient location. 🌟

I truly enjoyed my stay at The Kimpton Gray. This is by far the best property I’ve ever been to in the US. The staff was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. The designers did well to not shadow the historical features and but put forth the exquisite colors schemes, furniture, fixtures and accessories to enhance its features. It is nestled within a prime area of the  downtown financial district. It was bustling but not loud and disturbing. The valet team worked efficiently to ensure each guest was attended and kept the traffic in front of the property moving. I felt safe and secure with the accessibility required to enter. The complimentary evening wine hour was delightful. And let’s not forget the hot water that flows no matter how long the showers are.  I will most definitely stay at this property again and will recommend to anyone traveling to the Chicago area. Mr. Kimpton did a fine job with this property and I hope it remains this way for years to come.

Unfortunately the customer service was extremely slow. We travel across country and got in at 10 PM CST. We were already delayed  at the airport and had 7 PM meetings. We called several times about something simple like a remote to control the television and they finally asked if we wanted to move rooms after we already unpacked and it was approximately 11 PM CST. Not a chance! We won’t be coming back.

Just an update. Because they could not figure out the remote control and television, we had to change rooms. Guess what they did? They proceeded to give someone else a key to our room later that day! Luckily neither my wife nor I were indecent. Complete incompetence! You can’t make this stuff up!

Our stay at the Gray was beyond our expectations! While the hotel was very nice, the staff was beyond belief! I had messaged the front desk weeks ago requesting a few stuffed animals to be placed in the room for my kids as a surprise. Ms. Shea was incredible and was able to find some unique animals and had them wrapped and placed inside a kids play tepee. When we checked in, Emily at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and answered all of our questions. The Gray will now be our go-to place to stay when downtown!
