The room had bugs. Everything else was standard, but there’s not much you can do to redeem a stay if there are bugs. The hotel did kindly refund the resort fee in response.

Check in staff was pleasant and lovely. Amenities were standard. Bed was comfortable enough. Would have been a great, standard stay if not for bugs.

Stayed here February 2025 for a cheap, quick weekend trip. Best way to sum up this hotel is the year 2000 time machine apparently broke down here and never left. This was a dream hotel when I first came to the city almost 25 years ago. Not so much these days. Dated would be a kind thing to say. It really hits you when you get on the (very old) elevators to whatever floor you're staying on. The carpet is extremely old, talking at least 20-30 years old, at least. The smell is really bad from the mildew smell, and saw a lot of staining.

Rooms on the other hand, not too bad. Mine was clean and also, very quiet with great heating. Bathroom looked renovated. That aside, I found the shower extremely tiny and hard to maneuver in. Towels, well, both bath towels had hair on them. Long and very short hair LOL, God knows what type of hair and didn't want to know. I used a hand towel instead the whole time I was there. The TV was at least 10-15 years old too, but worked. Not there to watch TV anyway. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The bed skirt however was stained. Again, who knows with what.

Bottom line, I would never pay more than $55-75 to stay here. The kind of rate you get this time of year on third party sites. People who pay $180-200 a night to stay here in the summer have to be novice tourists. Location is tops but the hotel has seen better days.

One last thing, people complaining about the $100 a night incidental fee, they must not travel very often. That's standard at almost every hotel, especially in tourists areas. Same with the "destination fee" of $23.48 a night. Sure it's a way to juice the price but again, so many places do this anymore. Comes with the territory.

Good location, they have a restaurant for breakfast and lunch. I’ve been around the world and been traveling for all of my adult life, so believe I’m no
exaggerating when I say these beds are THE MOST uncomfortable beds my back had EVER the displeasure of laying on. I woke up numerous times trying unsuccessfully to be comfortable. Please don’t waste your money on a place that could wake you up with a sour neck. Bad pillows, worst bed. Do not recommend.

This hotel definitely brought the older vibes but it was cute! Booked a room for my coworker’s birthday weekend and we had a blast! From the nice staff to the perfectly made drinks at the bar to the clean and quiet rooms… this was a perfect find last minute! I would definitely book here again! We were pretty much close to everything (walked everywhere downtown we needed to go) and perfect for pick up to drive places!

Good solid old fashioned hotel in a great location. Old school luxury ,quiet and spacious. Not 5 star but more than good enough even for most snobs who want clean comfortable quality stopover without the fuss. Staff friendly and professional without being intrusive or overt in manner.
