I had a wonderful experience here.  The rooms were big and very clean.  Whoever cleaned our room did an amazing job each time.

The front staff is so personable and friendly.  Sometimes we felt like it was our home.  They go above and beyond to deliver and check in on your stay.

The restaurants and roof top are nice and the location can’t be beat.  Hotel is on the smaller side.

Good Night Johnny Boy was my only complaint. He never seems to go to sleep. ; )

I haven't stayed at the Nobu Chicago but I did stay at the Nobu in Barcelona and it was the best part of that trip. I travel quite a bit and have trouble with the pillows. I always hate the pillows but the pillows at Nobu were the best pillows I have ever experienced. My problem now is trying to finding those pillows to purchase for my bed. I loved the clean sleek design in the room too. Staying at the Nobu in Chicago is on my list. Thank you Nobu for a surprising good night sleep. If you can tell me where you get your pillows I would appreciate it.

We stayed at Nobu for our anniversary and our experience was quite mixed. I’ll preface this by saying we don’t usually stay at 5 star hotels, and this was quite a splurge for us.

Starting with the positives:
- we got the premium room with the bathtub and the views and the actual layout of the room is phenomenal. The views are gorgeous and the bathtub was a hit.
- the service is awesome. The staff was definitely the highlight of the trip and they were more than happy to assist us with the issues I will now list.

Negatives:
- nobody picks up the phone. We were trying to see if we could check in early and we had to call like 4 times to get someone to pick up
- we were promised heated bathroom floors in the premium room but ours didn’t work. After bringing up an “engineer” they decided they couldn’t fix it so they had us move rooms. Then in our new room, the room heat didn’t work! They brought us up a space heater as a consolation! That’s heating issues with two premium rooms.
- on the website they said they had “luxury toiletries” in the rooms but they didn’t have anything except a toothbrush and cotton swabs. They didn’t have face wash or makeup wipes or anything! I expected more here esp because they advertised it on the website.
- the women’s steam room was broken when we were there

Overall, I expected more at the price point. This is an extremely pricey hotel that promises luxury service. Having to switch rooms and then be brought a space heater might not have been under their control but not having any amenities in the bathrooms and having someone always answering the phone seems like something that a five star hotel should guarantee.

Normally I give a good bit of time for a business to respond to issues before writing a review and it's been about a month with nothing back from their management team so here we go:

Unfortunately I am writing about a disappointment in my stay at the Nobu Hotel Chicago, one that came highly recommended and I had never stayed at prior.

We are locals who had booked a stay in one of the Zen Deluxe Suites to enjoy a nice weekend out, and were surprised to find the maintenance in very poor repair within the room. The toilet flush buttons were partially broken, the bathroom fan didn't work, neither bedside light would turn on, all of which were more or less livable, except that the air conditioner also did not work,  which made the room uncomfortably hot at night (extra surprising because this was in November)

Though the staff was gracious enough to try to fix it for us, the solution ended up being a fan delivered to our door and an offer of a *partial* refund of our breakfast (doubly frustrating because we had already been offered a credit to our breakfast upon checking in, so this really was not offering us anything we hadn't already been promised).

We know the area well enough to know that street/club noise would be excessive on a Saturday night, and that's understandably not in their control, but that combined with the heat made sleep all but impossible, and did not lead to the relaxing weekend we had hoped to enjoy away from home.

A change in rooms to one with a comfortable temperature would have been much appreciated at the least. We enjoy the food at restaurant immensely, so it was surprising that the same level of attention is not given to the Nobu hotel rooms, and the attempts to rectify the situation were lacking.

What a fantastic stay at Nobu Chicago. This is a hotel where service has not crumbled post-2020. Shout out to all front desk staff, housekeeping and Ian at the valet/bellhop area. Room service is from Nobu restaurant so if you like in room dining that's actually good, book your stay now. This is one of the best hotels in Chicago
