Amazing historic hotel. Everything about this hotel was amazing, especially for someone who loves unique experiences. The hotel is very old, so don't expect modern spacious rooms, but it is still very nice. The rooms preserve their original design but with modern amenities.
The only two drawbacks with the hotel is that the rooms don't have coffee machines and that they tried to sell me some kind of discounted price future stay when I was checking out (I was in a hurry, like most leaving guests, and not ready for some to present me with a sale pitch).
Other than that, this is an amazing hotel. I would definitely recommend it to others.

We were here for a wedding. And yes, it was wonderful and fun to stay in this iconic hotel.

I had to say the service was friendly and attentive. When I saw there wasn’t a coffee maker in the room. I called downstairs and they brought one up in five minutes.

The king size room was comfortable. Great bed great chair for sitting and the reasonable desk. The bathroom was a bit outdated.

And then a few areas the hallways were showing and tear

Still, the lobby is fabulous.

And the venue for a wedding was so elegant

Heading home from a lovely overnight stay at the Palmer House. Truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in recent years. Room was clean and well appointed. Bathroom is small but totally adequate and it was nice to have a bathtub for the kiddos. Exceptionally nice pool and fitness center. Will definitely make this an annual holiday trip. Very appreciative of all the hard work that goes into maintaining such a gorgeous landmark.

Stayed three nights in November while visiting Chicago. As Diamond members we were greeted pleasantly and upgraded to a deluxe room that was very spacious (except the bathroom but it is an older hotel so understood) clean and beautiful. The lobby (and entire hotel) is so pretty and full of history. Location is excellent for exploring Chicago and coming in from the airport via train. We had delicious drinks in the lobby, tried the famous Palmer brownie and had coffee breakfast items from the express center (order on line, they call you when ready and you go pick up).  All staff we encountered were very nice!
I do wish they had a coffee machine and/or tea kettle in the room.
We will definitely stay again in our next trip!

I was delighted with this hotel, it is marvelous. Historic yet updated and very well kept, my room was amazing with a very nice view, and even though it was a street room, it was incredibly quiet and sound isolated. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was perfect. Breakfast is very varied, everyone at the service was so nice and attentive. I was checked through text messages that were actually helpful, directing me to where to leave my bags for the day that I was checking out, but not leaving the city until late in the afternoon. It was pretty crowded so rightfully I had to wait a little to sit for breakfast, but this place is completely worth it, and the location is unbeatable. As a Hilton Honors member I will definitely come back when I'm in the city.
