This is Chicago's best deep dish. The crust might be burnt but everything else is just right. The dough at the bottom maintains it's moisture so it's not hard and crunchy. Good variety of toppings to choose from. Great customer service. They have qr codes so you can order online at your table without waiting for service if you're really introverted. There's also a second floor for additional seating and restrooms.

Our server was Samantha. She was so attentive and did a great job explaining how to order to our group of five.

The pizza is better than giordano's pizza. The dough on the pizza is soft and so yummy. The sauce isn’t sweet either.

I’ll start by acknowledging that I’m no expert on Chicago-style pizza—I can only share my experience based on what I tasted.

With that said, this pizza place came highly recommended by several people as a must-try for authentic Chicago-style pizza.

I made the journey from downtown, waited three hours (passing the time by catching a movie across the street), and finally sat down to order. I went with a large pizza (though I initially wanted a medium, but no big deal), some wings (skip), and a Caesar salad (also skip). Then, the much-anticipated pizza arrived.

Yes, the pepperoni was nicely toasted, and yes, the crust was crisp and crunchy. But for me, it didn’t hit the flavor notes I was hoping for. It didn’t leave me thinking, “Wow, I can’t wait to come back!”

Maybe my expectations were too high, or perhaps I just don’t know what I’m talking about when it comes to Chicago pizza.

But for me, Pequod’s didn’t live up to the hype.

Went here when my family was in town so that they could get some deep dish. We all got personal pan pizzas - mine was cheese. They let you personalize them with your toppings, which was great since everyone at the table was all over the place with topping desires. We also got an order of fries (crispy, delicious) and the house salad (super basic but surprisingly good). I got an Arnold Palmer to drink. We made a reservation online ahead of time because we heard it gets busy and the line gets long. They seated us right away upstairs. We ordered with the QR code on our table and also the server who was bopping by regularly enough. They had some sports games on the TV and it was quite loud upstairs with people chatting and some music playing - this is just something to note if you’re looking for a place super quiet and intimate! The prices were totally reasonable and the quality of the pizza was good. The sauce was a little more herby than other deep dish recipes in the city. I’m not a huge fan of deep dish so will probably try the thin crust next time. Will be back when the time is right.

Yum, yes please! First time at this pizza joint Pequod’s and it was amazing!! At first sight, the pizza comes in a giant pan and appears burnt around the edges, however, once you dig in, it certainly does not taste burnt! It’s a butter dough crust that is simply delicious! This pizza is a work of art! Highly recommend ordering extra sauce and extra cheese! Worth the wait! Good drinks and good food! Sean the GM was splendid to work with! Will definitely return!!
