We had the chef tasting menu (4 course + dessert).

Drinks were unique and creative but wouldn't say top notch. The bread spread with hummus / Muhammara /olive was fantastic. Scallop on the small plate was cooked beautifully. Chicken kabob was okay. Vegetarian alternate (Cauliflower kabob + mushroom dish) was amazing. Lamb chops had mixed reviews on our table.. Few liked it, few dint. Fish (Bass) dish was not memorable.

Overall great service, and decent food and we had a good time and the place definitely deserves its new Michelin bib gourmet.

I recently dined at Sifr in Chicago, and while the overall experience was enjoyable, it left me with mixed feelings. The ambiance was modern and inviting, and the service was attentive throughout the meal. The food itself was flavorful and well-prepared; however, the prices were extremely high, especially for items like the lamb and chicken kebabs, which didn’t quite justify the cost.

That said, the standout aspect of the evening was the cocktail menu. The drinks were creative, expertly crafted, and worth every penny. If you’re visiting Sifr, I’d recommend going for the cocktails and perhaps lighter bites. It’s a great spot for a special occasion, but the price-to-quality ratio of the food might leave you questioning its value.

I really loved the service at SIFR. All the servers are extremely sweet and keep checking if you need anything.
The food is really good too. We got the non veg mezze platter, jumbo shrimp, chicken kebab with couscous and lamb shank as main and the date cake for dessert.
The platter is good, I absolutely loved the chicken kebabs and they’re one of the best I’ve had so far.
The shrimp I found was a little overpriced for just 2 pieces but tasted good.
I personally didn’t like the lamb shank since i didn’t find it very flavorful.
The dessert was good as well.

This place was perfectly fine. Gives you Mediterranean and Mezze options and a picturesque mezze tower. Good, but wouldn’t go back, worth if you are trying to find something new and you’ve exhausted all options.

Mezze veg platter was yummy and the bread was good. I’d take this option in a brunch setting where you want something light!

We had the charred carrots which were nice but not super memorable.

Finally had the tuna. This I would not order, it should have been pre cut and portioned but was served like a carpaccio which made it very hard to eat. Would have preferred if it would have been served more like a tiradito.

Overall, SIFR was great. I dined here alongside my family and other family friends, and the servers did a nice job accommodating to a larger party like us. They handled allergies well and the food itself was great. Lots of options for vegetarian only eaters, plus the meat options were very good. Recommend both kebabs, lamb shank, and the scallops as well.
