I stayed at the Hoxton for 8 days, and while the location in the heart of West Loop is fantastic, the overall experience was disappointing.

The positives:
•	The hotel is close to downtown and surrounded by great dining options.
•	The lobby and restaurants are excellent and have a great vibe.

The negatives:
•	Room cleanliness: Cleaning is by request, which is fine, but my room was only cleaned twice during my entire stay. One day, they missed my request entirely, and I had to follow up to get it done the next day.
•	Room quality: The room was small with outdated furniture. The mattress was uncomfortable, the comforter was thin, and the furnace was so loud it woke me up several times at night. Adding to that, I could hear the train despite being on the opposite side.
•	Major housekeeping issue: After my room was “cleaned,” I returned to find trash bags from the bathroom piled on top of my luggage and wet bedding (not mine) that smelled awful. I spoke to housekeeping, and they removed it quickly. An assistant manager apologized and said they’d make it up to me, but I never heard back. (Photo attached.)
•	Late check-out policy: The website says you can check out anytime if you book directly, but they charge $10/hour for late check-out, which felt misleading.

For the price, I expected more attention to detail and better service. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again.

The bed was SO comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud! Location can't be beat, it's close to all the best restaurants in town. The branding is great throughout and the copy-writing is also 10/10 (for the marketing nerds like me). Highly recommend!

Everything was great, from the front desk staff to the room and decor. However, I would bring a mini cleaning kit with you because I found hair in the shower. I loved the food in all the two restaurants that we tried. The club in the basement is a lot of fun!

I brought my friend here to have dinner and experience the ambiance of Chicago. We had such a good time! Mike from the Horton took our picture after dinner and was super accommodating. The service at Cabra was also really delicious! I’d recommend to anyone, especially those visiting out of town who want a true Chicago experience!

I am 50 and not nearly cool enough for this place. The location is great and the room was very hip.  In some ways it was maybe a little too hip. For instance, I'm old fashioned but I still wake up in the middle of the night weeks later wondering if the lack of a top sheet was a housekeeping error or some new trend that I'm not aware of?

Also the motion sensing light in the bathroom decided that I didn't qualify mid-shower, navigation in a pitch black environment while soaking wet was a little unplanned excitement to start the day.

I'll be back but will bring my wife as she is way cooler than me and can appreciate the quirks.

Being in the lobby I felt like I was walking around a casting call for an edgy dystopian reboot of Friends if instead of being barely employed the cast were all angel investors negotiating terms.

Also, they have coffee in bags like tea - how have I never seen this before? 🤯
