For an outlet mall with places like Gucci, Burberry, Prada, and Jimmy Choo, the food court selection is pretty much identical to that of any mall across the country, although I'm not complaining! I spent a few hours at the outlet mall on Tuesday and when I got hungry I settled on getting some classic teriyaki chicken from Little Tokyo. Like most mall Japanese places the menu is small but offers the basics. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate with white rice and a drink did around $9 (which is pretty normal). The chicken was alright although it really wasn't as flavourful as most other mall places like this I've been too, although it was by no means bad. The rice was basic white sticky rice and complimented the chicken well. If you are in the mood for mall teriyaki chicken, this place will give you what you probably want. Nothing special, nothing but the basics, but sometimes that's what you want.

I had the wonton noodle soup, as I was looking for something filling that wasn't too heavy or drenched in sauce. The wontons were very good, but the soup itself could use more flavor. The noodles weren't bad, but I ended up throwing most of the broth away, as it just seemed like water. I would still come here over the other Asian restaurant in the Fashion Outlets of Chicago food court (I think it's China Max?), as Little Tokyo's teriyaki is better. I wish they didn't use styrofoam, but that seems pretty common in food courts.

I had teriyaki beef and enjoyed it very much. It came with fried (or white, your choice) rice and stir-fried raw veggies (cabbage & broccoli). The beef and the veggies were grilled in front of me. The beef came out tender, juicy and flavorful. The veggies were undercooked but that's a GOOD THING to me. They preserved the crunch and the flavor. I have no idea what's with the 2 star reviews for this joint.. but luckily I didn't check Yelp before deciding on that place.

Tried the beef and shrimp teriyaki here and was a bit disappointed. The shrimp is tiny and very soft although seared fairly well, the beef was tender and cut thin with a good amount of sear. The entire dish itself was a bit light on meat for the price charged and the meat was a bit on the salty side. The sides were the exact opposite. The noodles and fried rice were almost flavorless and the vegetables were prepared almost in chop suey fashion (without a flavorful sauce). This overall was probably worse than what you'd find the Sarku/Sapporo chains in the normal mall and the use of Chinese soy sauce rather than teriyaki sauce made it lack the normal appealing sweetness that I look for when ordering this at a food court.

My family was in the way to the airport for our flight home, and we wanted to stop somewhere quick to eat. We stopped at a mall and looked around at the food court, this one looked the best! I got the chicken and shrimp teriyaki with white rice and veggies. I didn't have high hopes as this was a mall food court, but it was perfect for a quick bite! They cooked the meat and veggies right in front of you on the grill, and serve it up. It tasted great. The chicken was a little fatty but can't complain about the tastiness! My mom ordered the wonton soup and it was alright, the noodles were a little overcooked and the broth could use more flavor. I wouldn't have ordered it in the first place since this is a Japanese place 4 stars for quick, tasty food!

I was shocked by this little Tokyo! I get iffy about teriyaki because if it's not done right it doesn't taste that great. These guys are on point though! The chicken was cooked really well juicy and tender on the inside but a little crispy on the outside.. teriyaki sauce was good! I liked the chicken more than the shrimp.. the shrimp could use some char on it.. to make it more flavorful.. I would defiantly pick the noodles over the rice.. noodles were delicious!!

I asked the man taking my order, Wen Hisen Liu, what was in the wonton soup. He told me wontons and noodles. I asked him again what else was in it because the picture showed onions. I told him I don't want onion. I then asked again what else was in it, fearing there was also cilantro. He didn't answer me he just kept pushing me to order. I have a cilantro allergy. I specifically asked him at least 3-4 times what was in the soup and this man was nothing but rude to me. My soup came, it had no onion, but was LOADED, and I mean loaded, with cilantro. I asked to speak with him about my order. He waved me off and barked out "no, no, you said no onion" and then walked away from me. Never coming back here again. I wasted almost $10 on this soup that I now cannot eat. Thanks Wen

I was gonna give them a higher rating for the food being cooked to order. Then the screwed up my order. Then they gave me attitude about fixing it. Then they didn't really correct the mistake. You can have the best quality food, then bad customer service kicks you in the behind
