They have these homemade salsas that will rock your world. The marinated meats are great for a quick taco dinner when you don't have time to marinate the meat yourself.

We special ordered catering, fried pork tray and it contained more fat than actual meat. The meat was burnt and barely edible. Very bad taste

Customers are treated very bad there. There were 3 of us in line to get some meat. All of a sudden a woman with her daughter decided she was going to cut the line. I told here "There's a line here" Her response was that she had already been in the store. So the employee (meat cutter) started to say that she had been in the store earlier. Instead of telling her to GET IN LINE. Just because someone has been in the store for some time doesn't mean he or she can cut the line. There are other places people can go to purchase Mexican food. Your supermarket is not the one and only. It was my first and last time going there. I don't like having to tell other customers what they are supposed to do. That is the employee's or employer's job not mine.

First of all I don't make it a point to leave reviews. However, in this case I had to! I visit this store yesterday in hopes to complete a few produce items I needed for dinner and to my astonishment I walked into Soto supermercado on Lee Street in Des Plaines and was greeted by a clerk at the register who was also with a man who appeared to work there.. as I continue into the store I became extremely DISGUSTED starting with the produce every item appeared to have been sitting there untreated, wilted Greens, "BROWN" Greens.. ex: all the Cilantro, Ears of Corn, Pineapples, Parsley, Geen onions, green peppers, Onions, Cabbage, Lettuces ALLLLLLLLLLL of the products were black.. brown.. old.. wilted ... I swear it looked as if they lost power for a month and turned it on and opened up to the public in that condition.. the FRUIT HAD MOLD!!!!!!!!! all the Oranges (well they were brown and yellow) were MOLDED!! I asked the girl to walk over to this and explain why they are selling all of this in the condition it was in and she just SHRUGGED HER SHOULDER AT ME!! i asked if there was a Manager there and she said No One Was there that can Talk to me! and wouldn't provide a Name!!! so I took Pictures of this Disgrace to Consumers to provide to this MYSTERY SOTO SUPERMERCADO MANAGER /OWNER.. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHO THIS IS PLEASE ADVISE! THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE IN THIS CONDITION. And to top it all off....as I was leaving I noticed they had a Butcher in the back area to cut your meats??????????? who in the hell knows how nasty and contaminated that is.. well I can JUST IMAGINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'LL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!! #Local Convenience Store Horror!!!!!!!!

Friendly place. Great place to grab food if your in a hurry, no long lines and no congested parking lot like the bigget places around. Good taco meat and homemade salsa too. Everything here is always fresh.
