It's a decent little place. Decent screen technology, but low budget when it comes to balls and tee to hit off of. I recommend it for winter practice.

Recently moved to IL and wanted to find some indoor golfing for the significant other since it's too cold out, I believe Halfway House is only open during the cold season as well. The process of reserving a bay is relatively easy and straightforward thanks to their online website and/or help from Dana. You can easily check their website for availability and reserve the bay, as well as rescheduling but you will be charged if cancelled within 3 hours of your appointment. It is $45 an hour and they recommend one hour per person if you plan to play an 18 hole course. Dana was very helpful and thorough when explaining how to play/use the simulator. There were sooo many courses to choose from, and I don't really know locations but there was Pebble Beach, PGA Tour, etc. Some tips: this place is more for experienced golfers I'd say... you don't have to be amazing or a pro, but if you're like me, beyond below average and only go swing for fun, then you might be better off playing the range option instead of 18 holes. You are essentially playing a course, so you have to have common knowledge about which clubs to use, direction, distance left, etc. I played with my SO who golfs often and as we were playing the course, I would have to swing multiple times for his one swing, had many mulligans, and so he didn't get the most experience out of it. He actually ended up mostly playing for me since I wanted him to make the most out of the experience lol. Another tip, if you're only playing with two people and are short on time, it will be hard to eat and play. I only booked an hour and there wasn't enough time to eat and golf in between. Every time you swing, next person has to get up. I would go with their one hour per person recommendation, or you can play first and eat after. But for two people, it was too much back and forth to enjoy the golf and eating. Three or four people would be much better since you'll have more time between swings to eat. Also if you're eating finger foods and touching your clubs, it can get kinda messy haha. Food: they are located in a restaurant, HB Jones. The server will come to the simulator side and take your order. I recommend the nachos as it's a HUGE portion that could be shared with 4 people but again, it is messy and your hands might be greasy haha. The chips are so good though, 100% recommend this dish with an ice cold beer The ambience of this place is really nice. Darkly lit so it feels more private. They played oldies that we jammed to. We went to play the some of the e-sports and had a great time! There are several options to choose from so there is something for everyone. The place is pretty cool looking inside & has a cozy & fun vibe. There's a food establishment next door to get food & beverages & they bring it to you, but you do pay them separately. We will be back to try the golf next!

Found this place here on Yelp and I am so happy that I did! SO much fun and they have great specials! The staff was friendly and the food was amazing too! I had the burger which was great!

Went here for the first time today on half-price Monday, GREAT TIME. Staff and ownership were super helpful and BEYOND accommodating. There was a brief power outtage during our session that unfortunately caused us to lose our game (ComEd's fault, not Halfway House), and the owner gave us 50% off our bill, which was already 50%off because it was Monday, so we ended up getting 75% off. That's just phenomenal service. Period. If you haven't been yet, I would definitely recommend going, and if you have been, hopefully I'll see you there next time! 5 star establishment, 5 star ownership, 5 star staff. I will definitely be going back to Halfway House.

Fun place and the simulators work great. Nice and helpful staff. It is a bit pricey but still lots of fun. Nice alternative when spring doesn't want to show up and its too cold to play outside

Love this spot! Great indoor alternative for regular golfers like myself. Friendly staff always willing to refresh you with some drinks and great food! 40 dollars an hour might be too much in my perspective but I recommend going with a friend to split the cost and not waste time

Did a company outing there on a slow day, it turned out to be really fun. They have really nice simulators, course selection was excellent and everyone loved it. Was requested to schedule next get together there. Nice to have it attached to HB Jones for full food and bar service. Spend 1/2 day and reboot your staff... they will love you for it.

We went there last night and had a great time. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks from the adjacent restaurant. The waiter we had was great. Nice and attentive. We didn't have our own clubs so we used the clubs available there. Both right handed and left handed available. The prices seemed very reasonable. Really cool golf simulators.
