I don't know how I didn't know this spot existed before yesterday! But I'm glad we found it (upon a recommendation). We ordered takeout which was easily managed online and it was ready relatively quickly (though we did order early). We tried a regular cheese pizza, the chicken burrata sandwich, meatballs, massa sticks, and chicken picatta. Everything was delicious. The takeout was steaming hot - which was perfect to eat immediately. Everything was wonderful - portions were a good size and the flavors were fresh. The mozzarella sticks were not greasy at all and clearly homemade (not like the frozen ones you get some places). The sandwich was delicious - perfect flavor combos. Pizza was great even put in the oven to keep warm for a few minutes (it didn't dry out)... meatballs - yum with a perfect amount of sauce and ricotta. Friendly staff in a slightly hidden (if you're not looking) storefront. Their gelato looked amazing also though we did not try it. Prices were reasonable (we didn't get a kids meal - those were the only meals that to me seemed pricey on the menu). Definitely worth a visit and we'll be back!

FANTASTICCCC gelato!!! I had the pistacchio and nocciola (hazelnut), which is a classic combo for me. Both were delightfully rich, creamy, and the flavors were great. They offer a a very good variety of flavors including some I've never seen before! Overall I found the gelato to be very authentic in terms of flavor, texture and taste! I noticed they also offer food and I'm curious to try it sometime! I was surprised because I found the service could've been much warmer, friendlier, etc. but it was fine, overall, and didn't affect the experience.

Came in after my hair appointment for lunch. There is an option for both indoor and outdoor seating. It was warmer outside so I chose to sit outside. I had the Mandalay Salad and a Latte. Both were amazing and I will stop in for the salads more frequently. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you when it's ready. I had to wait a little bit for the Latte but the salad was out really quickly.

The perfect fast-casual Italian spot in Elmwood Park! I was in the area looking for a bite to eat when I saw how many positive reviews Massa had. After visiting, I completely understand why! They offer everything from pizza, pasta, starters, sandwiches, gelato, and more! The inside had a decent amount of seating and service was quick. I ordered a slice of both the sausage and vodka burrata pizza as well as the 8 finger cavatelli pasta to share with my husband. The sausage pizza was, in my opinion, better than the vodka burrata as it had a great flavor pop from the meat. I also loved the 8 finger cavatelli pasta which reheated nicely the next day too. I was very tempted to try their gelato but figured I'll save for my next visit!

Absolutely not from this world !!! Bridget was amazing and helped me so much with my multiple orders! Too bad parking can be challenging and Massa does not deliver!!! Please think about it for your customers

Tried this place over the weekend while visiting family. I got the 12 inch pizza with Prosciutto and arugula - size seemed bigger than 12 inches. Overall it was tasty, prosciutto was abundant and the arugula was extensive. Cheese and crust reasonable as well. Overall tasty. Seems to be overpriced though. Restaurant is clean, modern and overall has ambience. Gelato seems pretty good - will likely try. Pricing a bit high in general is my likely biggest complaint. Parking is also challenging.

Want to know what it feels like to walk into small business in Italy? Then visit this ice cream/pizzeria in Elmwood Pk. Each time I visit, I feel as if I have entered a business in Italy, which they have successfully recreated here in Elmwood Pk. The last time I was here it occurred to me that I have never written a review on this place. Shame on me because I have been here several times over several years. I love visiting for some great gelato and/or pizza. Service here is very family friendly. Everything I have ever purchased here is excellent. You just can't go wrong. The ice cream is good anytime of the year, likewise, square Sicilian or round Roman style pizza will satisfy any day of the year.

Gelato shakes are out of this world. Service was a bit slow and had to wait in line for a while but there were phone orders happening too. The manager has reached out to make it right. People who ordered after me got their food before me. Note that three burrata slices come instead of four but you'll get four for pepperoni The pizza was good and fluffy. Sicilian style is one of my favorites and I could easily eat a whole pizza of it.

Massa has good gelato but very inconsistent for the price. We spent a lot of money there for ice cream as usual but usually worth it. This time came home and my son had about half as usual amount for 2 scoops. Much less than the others. Called manager and he said we should have checked the bag before we left and it was busy. He said he would do a partial refund. Never did. Other ice cream places are half the cost without the attitude.
