Finally a good taco joint in Elmwood Park! Small little taco place with about 7 tables and some window seating. I am basing my review off of one food item, but plan to try more; item is the quesabirrias. They are delicious and they don't skimp on the beef!! The refried beans are my favorite--they have a very little kick of hot sauce. The rice is your usual Mexican rice. Horchata's are great too! If you ain't dippin' you trippin' :) Definitely a must try!

Greetings Foodzies, today we dined at Taco Town Mexican Grill at 7446 w North Ave. in Elmwood Park. It's a small place with seating for 20 people with window seats and tables. The restaurant has walk up counter ordering. It's clean no music just a TV playing a Spanish channel. Joselyn was the young lady who took our order. She was polite and friendly. They have vast array of tacos and burritos.everything from chicken to tongue. Glenda's choice was Bistec a la Mexicana, basically cubed steak with onions, tomatoes and jalapeños with Al Pastor flavor served with the traditional rice and beans with tortillas. The meat was well marinated and flavorful. I tried a few different tacos; chicken which was very tender, cecina (salted steak), Milenesa de Res (breaded steak) never had a taco with that; it's now one of my favorites, and carnitas (fried pork) well seasoned. We also took 2 burritos to go, Glenda had steak and I had my new favorite Milenesa de Res. I was disappointed. This steak was fatty and scarce the burrito had more filling than meat. One of the highlights was the jalapeño, cilantro sauce, it was smooth, delicious and had the right amount of heat. There was a good variety of drinks available we went with a Mexican staple Horchata. That was good with the right amount of cinnamon. They also offer 4% discount if you use cash. On a whole I give this restaurant 3 1/2 stars. As usual, try it out and let me know what you think. Tried this place as I needed a quick bite while visiting my parents. Not great. I believe I was the only customer ordering and it seems that the order took forever. the quesabirrias I bought weren't great either. Pricing a little high for the area and the food. Meh.

Came in for the first time the other day. I ordered the chicken burrito plate. The chicken was very well cooked and flavorful as were all the other ingredients inside. The medium and hot salsas were very good. And the rice and beans were a little salty but nicely flavored. We got the food to go, but the service was very good as well. The place is small, but you can sit. It's nicely decorated and comfortable. Definitely worth a re-visit!

Breakfast Tacos with steak, onion, and cilantro were delicious. I doubled down and added a side of pico and split it between the 3 tacos. Awesome atmosphere with clean bathrooms. What more could you want in a restaurant? Can't wait to go back. What a gem of a spot in Elmwood Park.
