This store is awesome! Staff are kind, honest, helpful, and knowledgable. The selection (pots and plants) is fabulous, and the advice is great. Repotting and hole drilling prices are very reasonable. Some plants are very expensive because they are exotic, but there are plenty of affordable options. Love this place!

I quite liked this shop. They have a great selection of plants! You'll find some easy common ones like some calatheas, pothos, succulents, and air plants, but they also have some rare plants as well. The store is large, and especially right at the entrance you'll find the green botanicals. In addition to the live plants, I saw some dried flowers and accoutrements. They have a fair selection of pots as well, as well as plant care items like fertilizer, neem oil, and so on. Staff were friendly and I was asked by more than one if I needed help finding anything. I thought about one of the nice looking watering cans they have, but I already have a couple so don't really need to add a third.... They have a potting service, I believe. There was a woman there who was waiting whilst I was getting checked out, so that's pretty cool if you like to plant directly in a pot. They also have gifts that aren't plant-related, so even if you're not into plants you might find something here. Prices aren't bad. I was a a bit worried based on some of the reviews I'd seen but the pothos I bought were about $12, so right in line with all the other plant shops I've been to in the city and suburbs. There's also parking outside the shop on Main Street, and you can pay using the Park Evanston app. Apparently they have classes so I'll certainly be checking in on those.

My partner and I are new to the area and happened by this plant shop while looking for coffee. We are not plant enthusiasts and have been looking for ways to start/guidance. They have a large variety of plants-including pet-friendly plants-and a multitude of potters, etc. They will repot plants for you when you purchase them and they will repot your plants if you bring them in. For a small charge, they'll add a drain for any new pots you buy as well. They have everything you can possibly need to bring a new plant in to your home. All three employees were welcoming and super happy to answer any questions-including the multitude of repeated questions. They didn't mind helping us come to a decision and we were incredibly well-informed. I cannot stress enough how well we were taken care of here!

Nice | options | potting Nice: the staff is extremely sweet, nice, and knowledgeable. The owner is an Evanston local who takes pride in contributions to the local community. Options: the store has a variety of green plants and succulents to choose from. Whether tiny or 6 feet tall, the store has a great amount of options to choose from. Additionally there are a great number of pots, art, and interesting nicknacks to choose from. Potting: the store offers free potting when you buy plants or succulents. They also are very nice and teach the way behind planting/potting. They helped me plant My mini succulents in a plot.

PLANT LOVERS SPECIAL PLACE I've worked with both Louise and Lee and have always had outstanding and friendly service. The variety of quality unique plants that they offer is amazing and they have helped me on several occasions with difficult issues I've had with my indoor plants. Container options are vast and it's a pleasure going in there to discover what has been added. Since there is construction on Main St. these days, the parking lot across the street is free for 4 house so no need to pay to park. Check them out!

Cultivate Urban Rainforest has a curated selection of plants ranging from the ordinary houseplant to the obscure. Here you can find succulents, air plants, potting supplies and gifts. I signed up for their terrarium building class a few years ago and really enjoyed making my own ecosystem. I've been here a few times and everyone has been nothing short of friendly. Expect to pay a little more than average. Most small plants start at $7 and I've seen a few of the large plants go for a couple hundred. They are slowly starting to reopen their doors to the public and will continue to offer curbside pickup if you order ahead. There is an abundance of fascinating plants at Cultivate and it's worth a visit if you're in town.

This place is a magical healing oasis. I am so grateful they exist! Not only are the plants lush and healthy, but everything in the store is beautifully curated. I can't wait to collect more terrarium and air plants. It's a pleasure supporting Louise and this business.

Awesome neighborhood store! What a fantastic vibe inside, full of greenery - a little escape from the hustle and bustle of the day. Knowledgeable staff, great selection of houseplants and succulents big and small, as well as planters. Prices are comparable to big box stores like Home Depot but you'll find much higher quality here.

There are a lot of gorgeous things in here -- art, pottery, candles and trinkets, and of course, plants. Personally, I'm obsessed with the glass anatomical heart terrariums they had hanging from the ceilings both times I've been here (last weekend and then about 2 years ago...but, they're $400+, so that's probably why they still have them in stock). I love supporting local stores, which is why I frequent many of the shops along Main Street. I don't even mind paying a buck or two more to support the little guy, but unfortunately here you'll pay about $5-$15 more to support the local shop. Given my record of killing almost every plant I take in, I can't justify spending $15 on a plant that I can get for $3 at Home Depot or Trader Joe's, both of which have a better return policy (TJ's will take back almost anything, and Home Depot typically will let you return plants within 2 weeks. Cultivate lets you return it within a month I believe, but only if it's infested with bugs.) Until I have a much higher cash flow and/or develop a greener thumb, I'll have to do my plant shopping elsewhere. But, the store is super gorgeous on Instagram and in-person, so it's fun just to browse.

This was my second time coming in to redeem my birthday gift coupon for a free pixie plant. I was immediately greeted by Allison (sorry for the spelling) only and so I decided to keep asking her for questions instead of anyone else (sorry for bothering :D ). I don't know much about plants but I do love them! I bought a Venus fly trap last year from here and today got a pixie plant and also an Earth Star!
