Service | Vibe | updated Service - Monica and I stopped in for a quick drink on a very hot day in Chicago. We were just looking to cool off, but the experience turned out to be much more memorable thanks to the amazing staff. The hostess was incredibly kind, and the bartender was fantastic--both offered great drink recommendations. To top it off, they surprised us with a special sorbet treat after learning we were celebrating our pregnancy announcement. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our visit feel truly special. We highly recommend them for their exceptional service. Vibe - The space has a great vibe--open and spacious, yet thoughtfully designed with various alcoves that give it a cozy, intimate feel. The style leans toward art deco, blending artistic touches with a sense of comfort and warmth. It's a unique setting that stands out from more typical restaurant layouts. Updated - The restaurant used to have a different name when we lived in Evanston four years ago, so it was fun to return and see the familiar space reimagined. The updated décor and refreshed energy gave it a new personality that we really enjoyed. Next time we're back in town, we plan to stop in for a full meal.

I really wanted to love this place and in some ways I did. Everyone involved with the service team was spot on especially our server, Joe. He was personable and knowledgable. The food, however, was hit or miss. The muscle appetiser was flavourful and a nice portion but the white bean spread was lacking flavor as though they even forgot the salt. Mains were mixed. I spent time in Morocco and fell love with tagine. LeTour's was decent but lacked the rich, moist flavors if the real thing. My wife had the salmon which was good but a bit overdone and a friend had the steak/frites did not complain. Deserts and drinks were great 6 stars for them. My summary, if a friend wanted to go there I wouldn't say no but I think I would prefer exploring other options in the area.

- Ok food, good service, good ambiance - Reservation made, but was not necessary at the early time - No rush to return, but dinner could be good We have had a few French brunches recently, and were excited to try one outside of the Milwaukee area, but this experience was not something we felt stood out. The staff was friendly and attentive when we got there at opening hours and was great to confirm our outdoor seating. The brunch options had some range but few options for each branch. For the first time, my main did not fill me up, and I wish I had gotten more. I had ordered the Spicy Shakshouka which was served with khobz bread. The eggs were poached well and the sauce provided a great flavor when eaten with the khobz. I found the sauce to be too watery and overwhelming for just 2 eggs and the crumbs of goat cheese. We found a problem with the ratios later on, but the 2 pieces of harissa for the 2 eggs also felt uneven, making the stars of the meal essentially the tomato sauce and bread. While good, the tomato base tasted more like an American tomato soup, rather than a spiced tomato sauce. I am not too well-versed in Shakshouka, but the experience for this meal was just ok. My girlfriend had gotten the Salmon Lox Bagel which was also a bit off with the ratios. Not much can be said about the flavor, as it all just looked like it was cut-up with nothing additional done to it. The DIY meal came with a large smear of cream cheese, pickled onions, six (6) cucumber slices, and 2 pieces of lox. The bagel itself was cut extremely uneven, and the 6 cucumber slices really had her rationing. On the other hand, there was a lot of cream cheese (even for me!). The assembly could have been fun, but it felt like if it came out assembled, the meal would have looked a bit microscopic. Overall, this meal did not live up to our expectations and I feel a lot of differences can be made to improve our choices. While the food was not our top rating, the staff was friendly and accommodating, but did feel slow despite there not being many people there. I can imagine a few of their other options and dinner menu can provide a better experience, but until then, we are not in a rush to return.

My partner and I came in last night to celebrate our anniversary and had SUCH a 10/10 experience! This was our second time having Derrick/Steve as our server, and he absolutely made our night. He is such a delight, very helpful with menu recs, and delivered consistently prompt service. In my reservation, I requested to sit in the front room near the bar because we have yet to sit there and it's so pretty. The hostess noted and honored this request! Dinner was fantastic- we started with our favorite drinks, the Le Tour G&T's. Delightfully unique, flavorful, and strong (in a good way). We shared the mezze platter which was honestly a very large portion and came with some delicious hummus and labneh. For entrees, We shared the steak and frites with the filet and the butternut squash bucatini. The bucatini was great but I'm not sure I'd get it again. The steak? Melted in our mouth and cooked perfectly medium rare. I requested some garlic aioli with the fries and they were delish. Derrick helped us celebrate the end of the night with some complimentary champagne. The entire night - service, food, ambiance - was wonderful, we will be back!

Pretty, open space with unique lighting. Food was unfortunately underwhelming. My husband's steak fritte tasted like it had no seasoning and my chicken tagine was too salty for my taste- I'm guessing from the preserved lemons. The mezze platter was good, but it was hard to scoop the chermola out of the serving jar. A small spoon would have made more sense than a knife. Service was attentive and pleasant.

This is such a cool spot located in downtown Evanston in the old Chase Bank building. They have plenty of space inside with beautiful modern decor and also an outdoor patio. We made reservations but they had plenty of seating especially indoors. This was the first time we tried LeTour and enjoyed it. We ordered a drink and the waiter was really honest about what was good, which was really appreciated. He steered us away from a drink and recommended some specific ones. We decided to start with the Ruby Red Beets appetizer and Wow!! That goat cheese was amazing- all the flavors complimented so well. My only feedback would be more hazelnuts on top!! We had a light sprinkle and I could have used triple that amount to have a crunch in every bite. For entrees we ordered the trout meuniere and the steak/frites. The fish was outstanding- it had great flavor from the brown butter sauce and capers. The asparagus was the perfect pairing! I liked the fish better than the steak. The steak was just okay- I should have asked what cut of meat it was before I ordered but because I like mine more done it was tough. I know certain cuts can do this when you cook it longer. The fries were crispy and flavorful. The ketchup has a strong vinegar taste, which I liked! We didn't try dessert because the person I was with was avoiding sugar. I would come back! Overall experience 4/5

We have been meaning to go here and try out their happy hour and last night we finally did! We loved our experience sitting in the bar area and it was lovely. We had the cheese plate and a Caesar salad and both were delicious. What really made it special was two things, the beautiful setting and the bartender/ waitress who was absolutely fantastic and I forgot to ask her name and for that I apologize but she made it special!! We will be returning!!

Everyone/thing was very nice, but very neglectful. I think there was only one server for 6 tables, so maybe the owner needs to put more ppl on or something but- With the handheld POS I'm confused on why items were forgotten- it took 20 mins for a bottle of wine and a soda water wasn't delivered until I asked for it again. The apps and entrees were ordered at the same time but once we finished the apps it was another 25 mins until the entrees. Thinking the waitress didn't send the ticket in....? Finally, the waitress forgot to cash me out. She took my card for the bill and never brought it back- until I flagged her down. She had to ask me if she had cashed me out. She didn't know. As for the food- the duck mousse was good, the 3 cheese app was a joke, decent but the portion size was abysmal, the mussels were good (though telling me I should order the baguette to dip in the broth while it's served with a hunk! of bread.....rude). Basically with all the tasty restaurants around, you wont miss anything if you don't stop by here.

Le tour was one of the restaurants that are listed as top ten for French food within Illinois. We went recently to try their items out and I would say they are okay. There was no major wow factor in my option. Their appetizers are very lacking size wise. The liver appetizer had only a tiny bit of bread to go with. I feel if they gave more bread or sliced it so it's more convenient to share it would be better. The service overall was good. I feel that she was attentive and because they ordered through a machine it allowed her to tell us in real time what was left of each dish. The ambiance is pretty good. We sat indoors so it was a tad dark and hard to see. I think it's a romantic spot if you are looking for a darker restaurant with candle light.

I appreciate that Amy took the time to respond to my review. Her response exasperates the disconnect between acknowledgement and ownership. Not once during the dining experience or In Amy's reply did anyone say "let us make this right". Three cold dinners and a second raw steak were served to My family and they did not even offer a cup of coffee on the house.
