I really liked this place. The food was very delicious and full of flavours. Also, the portion size was super impressive & the price too! The service was also nice, our server was helpful. The ambiance was also great and cozy.

Great casual restaurant serving a wide variety of Chinese food, with some other Asian flavors thrown in the mix. Inside is simple and minimalistic, and can accommodate both single diners and slightly larger parties. Service was timely and attentive. We ordered the jjampong seafood noodles, pork dumplings, pig ears, green beans, stir fried cabbage, and Japanese tofu. Portions were just right and everything was tasty- I would happily order all of them again.

Consistently great food from this place as delivery. Recommend House Noodle Platter and Classic Jjamppong Noodle Soup. Spring rolls are not good.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants hands down in all of #Chicago . They literally have something for everyone's discerning tastes. They have amazing dry sizzling pots with protein like shrimp. If you're feeling like soup get the hot pot. They have more American style dishes like General Tso. For the traditional Chinese cuisine connoisseurs, try a dish like spicy pig ear and they even have Korean noodles like japchae. This is a true hidden gem in Evanston that all Chicagoans should come to. It gets a real steady flow of customers but food comes out quick and staff are courteous and efficient ! Don't expect a loud atmosphere in there. It is people enjoying food having great conversations! #chinese #authentic

I thought the food at Shang Noodle was really good. The spring rolls were PIPING hot and fresh which is just how I like my food. The fried rice was the perfect combination of salty and delicious. I also really enjoyed my peach green tea. Service was fast and my whole meal was very reasonably priced.

Great find while visiting Northwestern -- warm, friendly place filled with locals and students. Good fun energy to the place on a Saturday night. We had two entrees and a couple appetizers. All were outstanding. The Chow Fun was exceptional.

Generous portions & authentic flavors in this downtown Evanston Chinese eatery. Highlights include the garlicky peapod tips, sweet and savory braised eggplant & tender salt and pepper calamari. Noodles are house made and noodle soups are enormous. Two can easily share one large bowl of beef noodle soup. Spicy beef noodle soup has the right amount of heat and adding sour pickles was the right call. Scallion pancakes are crispy and chewy. Service was prompt and food came out fast and furious. Good choice for our large party of 9!

I was visiting my nephew at Northwestern and this place is so close to his dorms. It was full but we were able to get seating right away for 4 of us for dinner. The service was fast and we got our food fast after ordering. The decor is simple and clean. The bathrooms are nice and spacious. I ordered the taro tea with boba and it was ok. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and they were all delicious. The pork dumplings, lamb and fish casserole, everything fried rice, orange chicken, spicy beef soup. My favorite was the lamb and fish casserole but honestly everything was so good! I was tempted to give 5 stars but I rarely give 5 stars so i settled on 4. The prices were good considering we left full from all the delicious food.
