Rented a car for 4 days, returned the vehicle without damage. I took pictures of the car all around. 4 days after we returned it, I received a call saying that the A/C vent in the center of the dashboard was damaged. We didn't every touch the vents in the dashboard. They claim the damage was discovered when an employee went to clean the inside. I suggested that the employee caused the damage, whicvh (of course) they refuted. Caveat emptor - now I have to contest bogus claims regarding damage to the car.

Had to walk from terminal 3 to terminal 2 for pickup. I use a walker so it wasn't great. Older car so no backup camera, CarPlay or gps. Clean car and nice employees.

I am absolutely confident that they are buying these 5 star reviews. For your safety, do NOT rent with these incredibly shady people. I was rented 2 vehicles here through Carmax. The first was a Chevy Trax. I didn't have issues with it, but I did forget to take my sons hockey gear out amidst all the chaos and after being in communication with them numerous times after for various issues, they DID NOT NOTIFY ME. They had ample opportunities to share that information with me, that they had taken the hockey gear and had it sitting in lost and found. I had to switch to a larger car and they then tried to rent me a vehicle that had a big cigarette burn above the drivers seat and reeked of cigarettes. The only other option was a Hyundai Tucson that the owner didn't seem confident about renting me (mumbled something about an oil change). Nevertheless he rented it to me anyway. I discovered the issue when driving in it on the highway and the check engine light came on and the engine started to fail. After sitting on the side of the highway with my children, finally getting them in an uber and home, the owner had the audacity to charge me for the gas missing from the tank of the Tucson, criticized me for NOT DRIVING IT FURTHER, and did not refund my deposit. The worst experience I've ever had with any business in my entire life. Put my children's and my life in danger.

I've never been more happy with a car rental. This is a family owned business who lives by their values statements, values the customer and prioritizes service. My flight was significantly delayed, but they were able to coordinate after hours pickup for an additional fee. They are very communicative, leaving voicemails to check in, confirm and update/remind. They also have a dropbox for late returns. Al was super friendly, professional, and even asked multiple times how the car was, indicating they care about the experience.

#nextcar Rentals WARNING...The problem started when I downloaded the app and tried to make my reservation. A pop-up said, "something went wrong, the reservation didn't go through". So, I went online and made the reservation there. Both times I paid for the reservation using my credit card. After checking my credit card, I noticed I was billed for the reservation made on the app even though the app said the reservation didn't go through. I immediately called my credit card company and was told to call NextCar. I called NextCar and was told the problem would be resolved as soon as bookkeeping department saw the two charges in my name. A month later I go to NextCar to pick up my car and mention that my double charge had not been resolved. The attendant behind the desk looked at his computer and said, "looks like you made two reservations for the same day". I told him about the mix-up with the app. He said he would "look into it...". Two weeks later I return the car to NextCar and the extra charge has not been refunded so I confront the only person I see working there. As he checked the car to make sure I didn't trash it, He said he could not see a double charge on his computer. When I arrived home, I immediately call my credit card again and dispute the extra charge. It took another month before my credit card company gets back to me saying "NextCar has shown the necessary information, and the charges were two separate charges and so their claim is legitimate, and my claim has been cancelled". I call the corporate office and speak to a very nice representative who saw the problem on their computer. He told me he would send the situation to the accounting office via email because he could make the refund. I received a copy of the email and a day or two letter received another copy of same email. No response via email or refund from accounting office. I sent 2 emails to all connected to the email, asking for uodate, with no response. I contact Better Bussiness Bureau who wrote this company twice without a response. THIS BUSINESS IS NOT A CREDITED BBB BUSSINESS! RUN!!!!! Update on my previous review. After 6 months of trying to get my $250. refund for a double charge, Rashon L. (Apperant business owner), told me to try again. He seems to be telling others who are having this issue the same thing in answer to reviews. I did try again. After telling the person who answered the call redirected me to Customer Service. While on hold for 30 minutes, it went from 8 callers ahead of me to 2 callers ahead of me. Then there was a click and all of a sudden there are 7 callers ahead of me. Finally there were 0 callers ahead of me but, " there is no one to take my call"!!! I call back immediately and am told they will not issue my refund because Nextcar told my bank that there were two different confirmation numbers so they would not issue the refund. My bank could do nothing more than give a chargeback. During all the time on hold, the recording repeats how proud NextCar Rental is proud to be under the guidance of CEO JACK FITZGERALD of FITZGERALD AUTO GROUP. (800) 794-3230. I have left a message at this number where a message to all managers will receive a message so the person in charge of Next Car will return my call. I want the $250 you stole from me with your faulty app in August 2023! I won't give up until I receive that reimbursement.

Everyone was much better to deal with than the big car rental companies. Good effort all around. I've dropped a star because they are so small that the offering is a little light: closed Sundays: I contemplated dropping my car early as opposed to the morning of my flight and was unable to do so. Also, car was great (clean and flawless and under 40k miles). But 5 years old so no Bluetooth or modern electronic features. They also run a single shuttle so the experience may include looping back for passengers or waiting longer than usual, which can be nerve racking when you have a flight. I'd rent from them again however because the big companies are pretty infuriating by design as opposed to being undercapitalized.
