S.O.S (SAME OLD SANDWICH) There's nothing too special about this Subway in Franklin Park, but it does the trick. Couple times I've stopped here for a bite, usually when I can't make up my mind about Culver's or Five Guys. Subways are often tucked inside a Wal-Mart, others are part of a ramshackle strip mall; this one at the northeast corner of Mannheim & Grand Ave is inside a CITGO convenience mart....not terribly exciting. I rarely deviate from the 6" sub of the day + chips + drink, a reasonable deal for just under $7. I'll sometimes go for the footlong, eat half of it, and toss the other 1/2 in the fridge for work the next day. The Italian BMT is a personal favorite: I normally load it up with lettuce, cucumbers, black olives, sriracha mayo, and jalapenos/spicy giardiniera. Haven't encountered any problems across 2-3 visits, the staff work quickly to get sammiches made and the area's kept clean. It was nice to see something apart from the typical soda fountain -- in this case, 3 'agua frescas' (watermelon, mango, berry lemonade). For the longest time I thought only places like Panera carried trendy drinks. * TL;DR * Of the 8 different Subways near my work (all within two-ish miles), a couple are crap and a few are halfway decent. I'd put this location in with the latter grouping, because why not? I can get in, get out, and get back to the office in under 15 minutes. No need to wax eloquent, it's the same affordable sandwich shop you've known about forever. Still tasty, still cheap, still kinda smells weird.

This is by far my favorite subway ever. Every time I come in I am greeted by the BEST sandwich maker in all of the Chicagoland area. She immediately starts making my order and asking me how my day was. I often times go out of my way to come to this subway because of their employees. And let me not forget, THE SANDWICHES are always delectable and finger lickin good!! Anyways thats all I got for now. 10/10 recommend this hidden gem (it's in a gas station).

Stay away!!! Person making sandwiches has her mask on her chin. She makes sandwiches without covering her nose or mouth. Why even wear a mask if you can't wear it correctly?? Your are in the food industry! Also the cashier at the store/gas station side doesn't even wear a mask. Nope, go to the one by 25th and Grand instead.

Besides this Subway being inside a gas station, there is very limited parking and drunk people always sitting outside. The few times I have gone the guy that prepares the food looks miserable. He barely answered me when I greeted him, and had an overall bad attitude.
