As a pizza lover, I have to say Home Run Inn delivers on quality! The pizza is fresh, flavorful, and you can really taste the quality ingredients. My only complaint is that the slices are a bit small--but the taste definitely makes up for it!

Placed a to-go order for some bruschetta, fried pickles and slice of sausage pizza. My order took longer than they suggested and that's fine. But, after walking all the way back to my hotel room I was really disappointed that my order was missing the buffalo ranch for my fried pickles. Despite the minor set back the pickles and bruschetta was very tasty. Overall, they had very friendly service and this restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere.

Every time I'm back home in Chicago I make sure to hit up Home Run Inn as it was a childhood favorite of mine. This is my favorite pizza spot in Chicago. They even have turkey Italian sausage which they didn't have years ago. I also ordered the traditional wings tossed in Chicago mild sauce. I placed an order in store and waited around. The food was hot and fresh. I like the layout of this particular store. Perfect and convenient to stop by on the way back home to MN.

Stopped in on a fly while I was in the area this evenWasn't crowed at all. Probably all of 4 people in the restaurant. I decided to dine in so was seated immediately. Their system is interesting. You order your food at the counter there is not a waiter/server who takes your order at the table. They will give you a table sign and when your food is ready they bring it to you. Same with drinks. They do not have a sit down/full bar. They have pre made cocktails that come out dispensers on the wall. Quite different. I ordered a personal pizza and a Georgia peach cocktail. The cocktail was large and strong and only $11. Definitely not your average cocktail size, which I appreciated. Pizzas are made to order so I expected to wait, which honestly wasn't really long, like 15 min. Pizza came out so fresh and so good. I grew up on Home Runn Inn on 31st the original location but I must admit this location is just as good. Only reason for the star reduction is that after delivering the pizza and drink no one came back to ask if everything was Ok or if I needed anything. I had to go to the counter and ask for a to go box but they were nice so this can be fixed with a simple staff meeting.

This is not a full service restaurant. I walked in. I was ignored and then asked if I wanted to dine in. I said yes. She sat me at a table and then told me to go stand in line(4 or 5 people in line already) to place my order. I turned and left. Be advised they actively discourage people from sitting in the restaurant.

Me and my family were hungry so we went to Home Run Inn to get some food and my mom used the last of rent money to buy a XL-Pizza and some boneless wings. The wings were ginormous and the breading on the wings just fell off they were just disgusting. Don't even get me started with the pizza; it came out half cut and cold it tasted like frozen pizza. This is probably the reason they make you pay before you get the food. The service was alright they took a forever to give us our food and the restaurant was basically empty and one of the plates they gave us was greasy.

We ordered pizza & cheesey garlic bread....WOW,You make the VERY BEST PIZZA. Fresh or frozen it can't be beat! The cheesey garlic bread is also GREAT! Wish you sold the sauce in the grocery stores ! Think I like the garlic bread almost as much as the pizza! Keep up the great work....not that Hillside is far but I'd like to see you open a place in Brookfield....this way others would say ,I'm correct! You ROCK!

WTAH!!!!! Okay, it's been a while since I've been in Home Run Inn for a quick lunch, but a slice of pizza used to be too much for me to eat in one sitting, now after wolfing down a slice I'm still hungry! And the fact that you're getting a third of what they used to give you for the same price ($4 & change) really sucks! It wasn't even hot, but after taking a bite it seemed ridiculous to ask them to warm it! Love the pizza, but ain't loving the changes!!!

This location has improved its looks immensely since I was last here well over 10 years ago. I was heading back down to drop my kids off where they were staying and call in and order for a pizza. I haven't had a good home run in pizza and too long and I was really looking forward to it. Someone answered the phone quickly and took my order and my name and I was told it would be about 20 minutes. That was roughly my drive time so I figured that would be perfect. When I arrived at the restaurant and walked in it was unclear where I was supposed to get in line. You walk into the counter right in front of you and there's a rope dividing so you can walk on either side of it there were several people on the other side of the rope by the counter and a couple of them were talking to the person behind the counter but then they were going in different directions and there were other people just standing around there. Since someone was at the register I stood off to the side and waited. There were several other people working there and nobody seemed to really be paying attention to the customers. While I was waiting I had a very interesting conversation with another one of the customers who also directed me to where I probably wanted to stand. I thought it's sad that this is someone local who gets stuff here and also wasn't sure which side to start from. While I was waiting for my turn I overheard employees talking because customers came in and went and sat down. Apparently their dining room was closed but not roped off. I'm assuming that they just have staff shortages like so many businesses do. The interior of the restaurant was somewhat of what you would expect from an Italian restaurant except this location does most of its business through carryout, it seems, so the dining room is actually fairly small. It looks like what a Home Run Inn should look like. When it was my turn I gave them my name and my pizza was ready to go. It cost a bit more than I expected but I was happy just to have it this time. I took the pizza home with me and it was still nice and hot so I really enjoyed it. I actually had some for dinner that night and the rest I munched on throughout the next day as I had nothing to do. The pizza tasted great and was exactly how I remembered it but this location needs some work. If I was living in the Chicago area I would be more likely to drive to a different location and sit down and enjoy myself while having my pizza.

A true chicago Classic! Perfect Sunday night dinner that easily fed our family of 7 with a great coupon deal. Basically recreated the chicken carbonara pizza and of course got a classic Chicago " Pizza. Caesar salad had garbanzo beans which was unique. When I came to pick up my order a very nice employee had it ready right away and also provided plates, extra napkins and extra salad dressing. Really great pickup service! If we were gonna eat inside the place looked great and big enough as well. Cool to have the pizzas on display :)
