My husband and I came here last year with a couple of friends and we absolutely adored it. In fact we were going to go to Yau's; but my husband decided to take me here because of the wonderful time we had last year. This time however I was a little taken back on our service. We sat at the bar, because I've always said the best service is always at the bar. We ordered drinks and browsed at the menu. My husband has a few health issues going on; and opted for the Shaved Prime Rib without a roll and didn't want fries but asked to substitute rice. We didn't think this would be such a big deal because the side of rice was less than a side order of fries. After we placed the order our bartender told us we would have to buy the side order of rice. I should have just told him to forget it and pay for our drinks and go to the MANY other restaurants in the area, but my wonderful husband said it was fine; and ok'd the order. I pushed my glass of wine to the side as to not finish it quickly and order another one; my husband finished his beer, his water and my water. The food arrived. My Pesto Chicken sandwich was beautiful, however my husband was served with two small sad bowls one with the saved prime rib and the other bowl of the sad looking bowl of rice. It was pretty underwhelming, no garnish of lettuce...no nothing. We sat there for a bit without silverware and without any water refill. My husband walked over to an empty table and took the silverware off of the table to the right of the bar. 5 minutes later was the "check up". My husband informed the bartender that we weren't given silverware and the bartender apologized and offered to buy him a drink. We finished our meal and the bartender asked my husband about the free drink. My husband opted to ask the bartender to remove the side of rice off of the tab instead. Another 5 minutes later we were told the "exchange " was approved. It's so sad. We each probably would have had 1-2 more drinks and share a dessert. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. We came here once with friends and had a wonderful time; but I'm not sure I'll want to return again.

So nice to find this perfect cafe on our roadtrip. We arrived around 1045, having already had breakfast a free hours earlier, we decided to sit and relax until 11am when lunch was served. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and the food was delicious. If I lived in this area, I would become a regular!

Great local spot, homey and cozy! This place is so cute, great for brunch and lunch, they have great selection of alcohol and brunch items. I had a hard time choosing an option on the menu to be honest. It looks like they change their items because items on the menu were different than options on Yelp. Their sweets look to die for and are definitely homemade. We ended up getting the chilaquiles which seems to be a popular option and went home with a cinnamon roll. Service was kind and attentive. Plenty of parking. I definitely recommend stopping over and will be back.

Downtown LaGrange is such a quaint and lovely section of Chicagoland. The setting of Milkstop Cafe is on a corner, and it takes up two parts of a building. The menu for evening is different from what we had in our lunchtime dining, and we hope to go back to try those entrees. Good was delicious, well presented, and in large servings. Service was provided by just by one friendly lady, it she wa efficient and helpful in our decisions to order items.

I saw this restaurant while on the train and wanted to give it a try. Cute drinks and lots of variety. They also have non alcoholic drinks that look fun as well. I went with a rum cocktail and their limencello. Both were tasty. Many of their drinks are $13 -$16. I went with the soup of the day, which was chicken noodle. I also had the ahi tuna salad. The tuna was super flavorful. They used quite a bit of dressing. I saw many people ordering burgers, which looked amazing. I definitely would return to try one. The service was very friendly. They kept coming to ensure water glasses were full and to check if we needed anything. Parking is street parking along the side of the restaurant or by the train tracks. Give them a try!
