Typically, I try to avoid chain restaurants, but recently I found myself at this location for the first time in years. We walked in on a sunny Saturday afternoon and were greeted immediately. We sat in a booth near the windows in the front of the restaurant. I don't recall our waiter's name, but he was pleasant and attentive. I was with my sister, and we shared an appetizer, chicken fingers, and dessert. The chips and salsa were just as I remembered. The chips were salty, and the salsa tasted store-bought. There was nothing authentic about it, but it was edible. The chicken fingers and fries were hot and tasty. We also had the chocolate lava cake, but it wasn't very good. We took a few bites and pushed it aside. Overall, Chili's was a decent choice for a quick lunch. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It'll probably be years before I return, if ever, but I don't regret my selection that day. Sometimes it's nice to dine at an old faithful.

Our second time there not but again. Both times they were: 1. out of something at 5:00 pm. (Apple juice for the kids and broccoli that is supposed to be with the surf and turf) 2. Our food was not cooked right, our ribeyes were just barely medium even though we asked medium/well and the burgers were ordered well done they were not 3. It's to cold in there people were eating with coats on 4. We had to ask 3 people for spoons for the applesauce in the kids meal

Server non attentive, bad attitude, did not check on our table but did to those around us. Restaurant short on staff. Food did not come hot and fully fresh either.

I was very disappointed with the food and service today. I was out in the Melrose Park area and decide to stop here at Chili's. It's a new location which has been open up for awhile now. Upon entering, there was no one at the front entrance to greet customers or to be seated. I waited a good 15 minutes as I looked around to get someone's attention. The woman behind the bar looked and kept mixing drinks. Now there were other customers coming through the door. We waited and waited until I had enough. I saw someone cleaning tables and politely asked could I be seated. Finally the woman behind the bar speaks and say someone would be up shortly. That should of been my cue to leave and spend my money somewhere else. I was seated and I waited another 10 minutes of my time. What can I say? I was hungry and ready to ordered. I ordered the Texas Cheese Fries and a glass of Cocoa Cola. My Texas Cheese Fries arrived and all I saw was a pile of melted cheese. There was so much cheese and a few fries underneath the mile of mess. I had to pull cheese back with my fork in order to get to the fries. The inside is nice and clean. The service and food presentation and taste needs improvement. As, I'm driving home my stomach begins to bubble. Now I have an upset stomach. The one star goes to the decor and nothing more. I know this location gets busy, we've waited for a table before but this time we got food to go. This location is new so everything is still nice and clean. Our order was ready when we arrived and pickup was quick. But I paid extra for extra cheese and there was barely any.

Last night we ate at the chili's in Melrose Park and it was horrible. We waited 20 minutes to be waited on. I had flag down a waiter (Jacob) who took our order. It took another 15 minutes to get our appetizers which were in correct, we ordered bbq boneless wings and received buffalo. Jacob took the buffalo and replaced them with bbq about 20 minutes later. We had t ask for drink refills. Our food came approximately 10 minutes later, we placed an order to go, which we didn't see for about 30 minutes after we asked where it was. They told us that they didn't have what we wanted and asked if we wanted to replace it with something else. Then we watched as all the servers went to ding happy birthday while our food sat in the kitchen. I guess we weren't a priority. Finally, after two hours of being in the restaurant our carry out was there and we left.

Filthy, Disorganized, and Truly Disappointing After a show, we stopped at the Chili's in Melrose Park for a late dinner..., big mistake. When we arrived, there were plenty of open tables, but none were clean. The hostess told us we'd need to wait 10-15 minutes for a clean table. Meanwhile, several Chili's employees were just standing around chatting, not doing anything to help turn over tables. After about 10 minutes, we were finally seated in the bar area. The table was sticky, and when I opened the menu, it was wet and slimy. I immediately put it down and used another one..., disgusting. We waited another 10 minutes before the bartender finally acknowledged us. She saw us sitting there the whole time but never came over until then, and she was apparently also supposed to be our server. We ordered simple drinks: an unsweetened iced tea with lemon, a glass of water, and a Coke. They put the lemon in the water instead of the tea and left no straws, no napkins, and no silverware. I had to go get them myself from the bar. The soup I ordered came out half-full and cold, and the Santa Fe Chicken Salad had no dressing at all. When I asked for the dressing, the bartender looked totally confused. I asked, "What's the standard dressing that comes with this?" and she just stood there, blank. At that point, I had enough and told her to take the food back, I didn't want anything from this place. She pointed to the electronic table tablet and said, "Your bill is on there." I couldn't find it. I asked her again, and once again, she looked completely confused. I gave up, got up, and walked out. Is this what Chili's has become? Dirty tables, bad food, clueless staff, and zero attention to customer service? I've never had an experience this poor at any Chili's and I won't be back to this location, or maybe any location, ever again.

Service was great. Food was delicious. Had the burger special. Smashburger was delicious, as was the potato soup. Clean atmosphere. Been there 4x since they've open. Always good.

Service was bad the waiter was not attentive the place was not even busy , completely forgot to bring silverware and napkins had to ask a busboy and he ended up bringing plastic utensils never got are drinks refills , Food was good had pasta w/shrimp and trio fajitas the tortillas can do better then what they give I asked for corn tortillas and they were really hard looks like they us corn tortillas for hard shell tacos , The Ambiance and experience overall in the restaurant looked calm and the hostess was really friendly and nice, who seems to be the manager in a pink shirt that night was helping clean tables however he seems to really cut slack on there servers and wasn't aware of the situation we were not the only table who asked .
