Ok, Foodzies our culinary adventure for lunch took us to a multi cultural restaurant; Junior's grill cafe in Melrose park at 2200 w North Ave . This restaurant boat the flavors of several cultures, Guatemala (Glenda's home country), Cuban and Puerto Rico. Tucked away in a little strip mall. The atmosphere was quiet with mix match tables and chairs playing authentic music. The walls were covered with pictures of the food and various sayings. We started with Ropa Vieja quesadilla very tasty pulled pork with chihuahua cheese. Chapin dinner (Churrasco steak, chicken breast, longaniza guatemalteca, rice, black beans, sweet plantains, and hand-made tortillas) the chicken was juicy seasoned well, steak was a little dry and the longaniza sausage was extremely spicy but still flavorful. Thalia's burrito (Steak filled with rice, beans, chihuahua cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, and avocado.) the burrito was filled mostly with vegetables with a sparse amount of steak. And a traditional dish Pepian (A thick chicken and vegetable stew made with roasted spices blended together. Served with rice and hand-made tortillas). I enjoyed this dish a lot, chicken was tender and with the broth very tasty. The hand made tortillas were the best I ever had, the plantains we soft and sweet. I give this restaurant 3 1/2 stars, try it and let me know what you think. Ciao Ciao for now.

Came to this place on a whim while in the area and wanting lunch. At first glance it looked like a hole in the wall spot, but it's pretty spacious inside. They have seating for about 30 people. The staff was friendly and greeted us immediately. They have a lot of things on their menu ranging from different Latin American food. I went with the steak cubano with cheese. It was delicious. Juicy and fulfilling. I'm a fan. I'll have to be back to try more things. They also have two slot machines inside.

I was looking for a place nearby where I could find some good Caribbean food and Juniors Grill did not disappoint! The white rice was delicious, but the Arroz con guandules was even better! The pernil was on point with the seasoning and I loved the steak sandwich the steak was juicy and the bread was nice and fresh. Everything I ordered was delicious so I'll definitely be coming back!

I visited Juniors Grill Cafe with my husband a few days ago; I'm sorry to say the whole experience was HORRIBLE! Where do I begin? The place is small, a few tables close to each other.....no one greeted us when we went in (even though I said good morning) It's one of those places where u order at the counter what u want to eat, pay and sit where u choose to sit. We are Cubans so like any good Cuban we ordered cafe con leche; it was boiling HOT, my tongue got burned; I have had plenty of café con leche (the equivalent of "latte" for white oriole) in many other places where the flavor is wonderful. For this cafe to cater to Cubans their cafe con leche is the worst I've ever had. We ordered pan con croquetas (another simple Cuban sandwich) and what we were given were simply 2 cut croquetas inside French bread; Nit toasted. NOTHING else added. In the other many Cuban restaurants we've been to in the Chicagoland area, such a simple sandwich has toasted, warm bread, with mayonnaise, ham and cheese. The prices are not that high, but I'd rather eat good Cuban food (or any other food) and pat more knowing that the food is worth it. We felt very disappointed since their menu looks great on paper but @ least the Cuban food we had was BAAAAD. We will never go there again and will make sure to tell others NOT to go.

The food is fine but the little girl who works the phones and cashier needs some serious customer service training. If she's not a little girl, then that's just sad and completely unacceptable. I will give this place a chance in 6 months and hopefully that cashier is either gone or trained.

The food is great but if you call there the customer service is terrible. They need to train their workers how to answer a phone at a business. I have opted to only order online so i don't have to talk to them

Place order for pick up waited almost 45 mins instead of telling people itll be ready in 20 mins lying having them wait in a car with kids for 45 mins i get to the place and they havent even started making our food and food wasnt even worth the wait dint waste your $$ here
