Remodel still looks good three months later. Tonight, they looked short handed, manager doing a great job filling in at cashier and helping fill orders.

I asked for no pickles on my 1912 order, and there are pickles. I don't feel like have argument with the staff. I am not confrontational person. They try to call me racist and a guy pedo, because of my latin hereditary. This generation of kids having jobs need t0o do better, and get it right. I will not coming back here for awhile.

Pulled up to White Castle drive-thru at 840 W. North Avenue, Melrose Park, IL, on Saturday night, August 24, 2024. There are quite a few young people working there that lack effective communication skills and courtesy. We ordered the # 9 Combo Meal which consisted of 10 sliders (5 of the sliders were w/cheese), a sack of Chicken Rings, and a sack of Fries. The sliders and fries were hot and fresh they were cooked to order. The Chicken Rings were questionable they were kinda stale. They were not hot/fresh or cooked to order. The staff needs to be taught to clean as they go.

I stopped at the new white castle to the first time, yesterday Nov 2 it took 10 minutes to place my order, the food was not good!! Then an African American customer got into an argument with a worker who was on the phone and proceeded to call him the N word and then said that there was going to be a murder in the place. The manager heard this and did nothing!! I will never go to that location ever again!! The food and service was bad and it's not a safe place to be.

I went to the drive thru asked for a number 9 half cheese half regular white castles add everything sauce. Honey mustard for the rings....large fries, loaded fries,lg macaroni bites ,2 20 oz chocolate shakes and extra sack of cheeseburgers! Ok thought that wouldn't be difficult.. They take my form of payment. It's a debit card. After they return the card. They tell me they are out of chocolate, they offer me vanilla. I say just give me my refund I didn't want it. They can't give me a refund. So I take vanilla. Find out they charge me for 2 32 oz shakes! I didn't want that. N I can't get a refund, next they don't have ANY sauces for my chicken rings like at all!! NOTHING! then NO straw for the shakes I didn't want, received my order and all the burgers have everything sauce on them. When we only ordered that for the 5 white castles. Haven't been to White Castle for a year because they missed stuff last time. N wouldn't replace at all at this location. They say they will, you show up And they will not give it to you. Even though you spoke to a manager and have a receipt. It's not even worth calling the store to let them know, because they will do nothing to resolve it. I'm definitely done giving my money to them. This order cost 65.00 and they didn't get anything right and the experience was horrible.

The drive-through was pretty quickly considering there's was only 2 people inside the restaurant working. The time was was 10:30pm was busy but the ladies through the Drive-thru was happy, friendly, and spoke loud and clear. The two ladies in the restaurant name is Carmen and Afenia. Greeted me as I drove to the window to pay for my order. They seem very happy people, they were very alert had a smile on their face which I really loved and they were very perky and friendly. They were polite and they had patience. They didn't get mad because I wasn't decisive on what sauce I wanted for my chicken rings and my french fries. I wanted to say thank you for great service to Carmen and Afenia.

We all know how White Castle food tastes like, so no surprises here. Party on your tastes buds while you're eating it, but not so much of a party in the "back" once you get to digest that stuff out of your system. But all the while we come here because we can't get enough of the sliders, chicken rings, and the cool side bites that they offer. However, this review is not on the food, it is on the drive thru service. I've come here many a times right before church, looking for a midday snack. I need something fast and don't really have time to go in and order, so drive thru it is. Each and everytime, no matter if there are 5 cars in front of me or just 1, it still takes forever for me to get my food. Not sure what the deal is here but it sucks. The personalities of the drive thru people who take my order has the personality of a doorknob. No greeting, no "have a great day", no "thank you for choosing White Castle", no "sorry for waiting​ an hour for your order". Zip, nilch, Nada. Just blah. It it wasn't for my daughter always asking me for their chicken rings, and for this location being so conveniently located by our church, I would not really come here just because they are so damn slow to get your food to you. But let me tell sum'ting tu juh, I don't care about what others think of White Castle... I friggin' love these little oniony burgers and the day they are no longer in existence you can just bury me with my arms clutching a large order take-out box! My grave title should read as the old 1980's commercials: "White Castle has the taste some people just won't live without!" 1980's AD - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLg6gHxbYCk White Castles is the very first thing I eat whenever I return home to Chicago. I either find the closest one to the airport, or my hotel, or get off at the very first exit I spot a White Castle sign if driving in from Atlanta. AND if my hotel is close enough, I just may double the order as long as I can be near a restroom. They don't call them sliders for nothing you see! ... [ THE EXPERIENCE ] I visited this location bright and early on a summer Saturday morning. My plane landed @ 7:30am and I was in a rental car and here by 9am. Yes, a tad early for burgers, but again, I didn't care! I gots to have what I gots to have! I joyously consumed my doubles with all the fervor of a man trapped on a Caribbean island for ten years only eating fish & coconuts while talking to a soccer ball painted to look like a human head! WILSON... come back! SIDE NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: The crew needs to do a better job keeping the place tidy. It was too early in the day for ALL the tables to have a crumb, a stain or some sort of wipe-able grit and the floors desperately needed attention. You're lucky I care more about how the food tastes than the facility. However, thank you for delivering my burgers, rings and fries piping hot and perfectly made. If the buns aren't soggy, I ain't happy, and these were glorious! ... [ THE VERDICT ] I get it, this burger ain't for everyone. There is even a divide in my own household as my wife, god bless her, prefers Krystal's Burgers to my beloved White Castles. But as I've always stated, her opinion on food doesn't count because she has bad taste! Look who she married! Oh White Castle, you are to beautiful to be realized by all, just the chosen few.
