I have been a fan of Las Fuentes since 1982, when I worked in the city and my colleagues and I would dine at their location on Halsted every chance we had! In 2012 Las Fuentes opened in Morton Grove and my family and friends were thrilled! The restaurant is beautiful and spacious and has an authentically warm and happy atmosphere and hands down the best margaritas ever!! We have tried most everything on the menu and have never been been disappointed. I think their guacamole is outstanding as are their beef, chicken and fish items. Of course, I usually end up with a combination because I like everything here. Their coconut and regular flan are silkyand flavorful. This last time we went Dahlia stopped by our table and was charming as usual asking us how everything was and making sure everything was perfect. Gerardo our serve gets it right every time also. He is friendly and professional, attentive , knowledgable about all entrees and how they are prepared. Muchas gracias Dahlia and Gerardo. Until next time! Cute outdoor seating area also.

I just want to start out by saying that the service everytime we go is excellent 10/10. Martha is excellent! Awesome!!. She is always so nice and knows what we are going to order everytime. Or if I am not sure what to order she always suggest something or says "hey I have tried this it is very good would you like to try it?" I absolutley love her. No need for a menu for us. :) As fo the food well it is awesome. The atmosphere is always great. Everyone there is always so friendly and nice. Would recommend to go anytime. Thank you! Stopped in today to meet an old friend for lunch. Food was excellent as I had shrimp tacos Chips and salsa were awesome Service was awesome. Stopped here a few years ago and I had an underwhelming experience , today was a different story Thanks guys

I used to like going to the restaurant since it was in the area. Recently, the prices went up and they charge you for everything!! I was charged for extra salsa for my dinner and an extra tortilla. The salmon is 34. That's outrageous! The salmon is a small piece. The steak is also now 38 and it's a small size. I will no longer go to this restaurant. There are fancier upscale Mexican restaurants nearby that charge less and don't nickel and dime you for every little thing! A little miniature salsa side was $2! The extra tortilla was $2.00. I'm never going back there again. It's too bad because I really liked it. It was local and they had good drinks. There are much better places than this.

This place used to be a sports bar, and then a cajun place... now it's Las Fuentes Mexican in Morton Grove! It's a pretty good place. The food menu is expansive enough that everyone can get something - and it's pretty fine overall. There's nothing wrong, but it's not "fall out of your seat awesome amazing" either. They refill the table chips/salsa too - so if that's on your bingo card, then the answer is yes. The service is quick, the kitchen is quick, and the manager(?) was making his rounds to ensure everyone was doing OK.

Great food and great service! It's never crowded when we're here, and we're not sure why--because it's a really excellent restaurant. We do usually come at lunchtime on weekdays, so that's probably why it's less busy. They're definitely set up to handle a lot more people. But yay for us because parking is readily available! Food is excellent. My favorites are chiles rellenos, and anything with mole.

Came for dinner around 530pm on a Friday with a group of 3 + toddler. Was not impressed with the service or food. Service was very slow and staff was not very attentive. They were not even full or very busy from what you could see in the restaurant. Took an additional drink order and they never brought it out. Asked for some hot sauce with the chips and salsa and got it after the food came out. Asked for our check, had to flag them down again to get it. Overall, just not impressed. The food was just alright. For Mexican I'd expect a lot more flavor. I got the shrimp and cheese quesadillas and there was no seasoning inside at all. It came with a sauce but it just tasted greasy and too soft for an empanada vs crispy and thick. I'm glad we asked for the hot sauce and that was really good as it was habanero and it made the empanadas taste better. The chips for chips and salsa also were not amazing and they took forever to refill it. Not sure I'd come back here as there are so many other delicious Mexican restaurants in the area. Was not worth the price for the quality of the food.

I'm going to have to come back to give a thorough review with food. I only stopped in quickly for a margarita as I was waiting to meet up with some friends. The first thing I noticed is there are TWO parking lots. There's a cute outdoor patio with seating. The inside is very big and seems to have a decent amount of seating. I came around 5:45, so it was still pretty empty, and since I was only having a drink, I opted to sit at the bar. The staff brought us complimentary chips and salsa, and the salsa is so good! It's perfectly spicy. The mango margarita was okay. I would like to come back to try the food and other beverages.
