# Booby's – Classic American Diner in Chicago, IL

I like Boobys. There, I said it. Bold start, I know. But Booby's is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've stumbled into a time capsule of deliciousness--where the buns are toasted, the fries are hot, and the vibes are strictly mom-and-pop. I ordered the chicken sandwich because I like to test a burger joint's range. I'm happy to report that this wasn't some sad, dry poultry puck. It was juicy, well-seasoned, and sandwiched between two buns that probably have their own zip code. The decor has just the right amount of nostalgic weirdness. You half-expect someone named Marty to come out of the kitchen and tell you they've been grilling since the Eisenhower administration. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and I left with a full belly and no regrets. Except maybe that I didn't get a milkshake. Next time, Boobys. Next time.

We love Booby's! The steak sandwich comes with 2 sides, is big enough for my wife and I to share, and is hands-down our favorite. I suppose you can ask for other toppings and different doneness, but it normally comes cooked to almost medium, with just a little BBQ type sauce on it, on French bread. I wouldn't think I would like that, but I sure do. I also like the mostaccioli with meat sauce. I've eaten that from many other restaurants, but this is probably my favorite. It's pretty much perfect, and at $12 or 13 with a side, bread, and Parmesan cheese, it's also a good deal. For people that say Booby's is overpriced, I disagree. If they are higher priced it's only because it's higher quality. Most menu items seems the same if not less expensive than other restaurants.

I love this place for a quick wholesome and tasty meal. We always get the steak sandwich, the soups are great and my kids love their spaghetti w marinara! Prices are fair!

OVERPRICED OVERPRICED OVERPRICED!!!!!!! Used to Be a Regular -- Not Anymore I used to come to Booby's in Niles almost every day, but the quality and attitude have gone downhill. The owner's son seems more focused on money than customer service. I'd order something simple like a salad and get a tiny portion -- no "take care of our regulars," no appreciation for loyal customers at all. They don't seem to care about people, just lining their pockets. The steak sandwich isn't worth the price anymore!!!!!!!!

The food is great. My favorite is the BBQ chicken dinner (their in house BBQ sauce makes your mouth water), cream of chicken soup and fries. The coleslaw is AWESOME too. Really great chicken Cesar salad too. Place is clean and the staff is friendly. So much history here too. I've been coming here since I was about 10 (over 20 years). The negative reviews make no sense which makes me think they were paid or just really miserable people lol. Go enjoy a meal and make some memories.

I have been coming here since high school, and it's a great old-school business! I never leave the Chicago area without stopping here for ribs, or my all-time favorite, The Steak Sandwich. (I think they used to call it the Big Boob, or something like that, which used to make me laugh!) It is not only great, but it always brings back lots of memories and "feels"

Standard looking suburban burger/beef place. The staff was straight forward, almost taciturn, which I've found to be pretty common in the Chicago area. Not rude, but not the most cheerful either. They have an impressive menu. They are known for their steak sandwich but I went with the Big C Burger (a Big Boob with cheese). The price is cheap but I ended up paying almost 16 bucks for fries and a drink with it. The burger is delicious. Grilled onions, sauce, slaw. And it's big! The fries were average frozen crinkle fries. Five stars for the burger, three for the fries, three for service. Four stars total because the burger was that darn good.

I pass by this place frequently and have asked people about this place, they always say to try the steak sandwich. Well I did and I think what it lacks in flavors, it makes up for with it tenderness. I thought it was grossly overpriced for what it is, $20.99, it comes with two sides that you can choose from, I got fries and cole slaw (fries were basic and cole slaw was ok). You have to buy a drink (one refill), if anything they should include that. The place is clean and seems to have a lot of regular customers, some even playing board games. If you like the place you like the place but I'm afraid to say that anytime I pass by these Booby's I'm afraid I'll just keep driving this time. I just don't taste the amazing that others may. I need more, more flavor and more bang for my buck. The best thing to me about the place has got to be the sign out front, that's about it.

ok, sadly just ok, FF, were blended with others some hot, some cold, different colors and temperature , so we know they combined. I drove out of my way to go. Remembering the Boobys of the past.
