Noticed they also have a Mongolian menu so we got an order of khusuur which are meat stuffed fry breads. 8 pcs for $17 and came with a side of slaw and potato salad. more on that menu to try.

@super_good - follow this guy for Chicago food spots This place rocks. It's a place within a place. Do what we did and come in for DooRe chicken before shopping at the Park To Shop mall/supermarket. Be patient, chicken is made to order - like God herself intended. Beautiful and uber clean sitting area with K-Pop music playing overhead and Korean stores selling beauty products and other items are in the mall including a hair salon. See the food pics - we got half bone-in fried chicken and half and spicy.

I came here looking for Noori but I ended up at Doore. I'm not sure if they are the same restaurant, but Doore's extra hot chicken wings were bomb. It's $14.99 for 10 wings and it comes with the WHOLE wing - drummette, flat, and wing tip! So basically 20+ piece wing for $14.99. And these wings are monstrous in size. I had enough for lunch the following day too. The wings also come with pickled daikon and some cabbage and a really yummy sauce. The waffle fries were crispy and tasty. I plan to go back to try their Korean hot dog and other menu items.

Their fried boneless chicken is really good. Light batter, and the sauce hits the spot. The half orders are very decent in quantity. We usually get soy garlic but ventured out to try sweet and mild, but didn't like it as much since it's too much sauce! It wasn't very spicy at all, compared to what I'd expect for the Korean level of spicy. Regardless, I think I would definitely come back here for soy garlic, as I think they have the best one in town among all the competitions. We also wanted to try the drinks, but sadly the drinks are a disappointment. They didn't have medium size at all, so you have to order a large. The milk tea options say there's soymilk based ones but they don't actually have that either. So we landed on a kumquat tea and the server asked if we wanted boba and we said yes. However the actual boba were overcooked so it's mushy and not chewy, and they didn't soak in sugar water so the boba aren't sweet. The kumquat flavor was very strong so we liked that. Next time will just have to remember no boba.

The profusion of Korean chicken joints in this area is most welcome. Every time that I try a new one, I feel that it's my new favorite. The chicken is really good, not quite as crispy as other spots, but incredibly tasty (the garlic soy flavor). A "half order" is an incredible amount of food--enough chicken for two meals, plus a small side of pickled radishes and a plain cabbage slaw. All that for $13 is a heck of a deal.

I've tried chicken all over the world, and this place ranks right up there with the best. There are literally 15 kinds of chicken to choose from, and I would say I've tried more than half of them. I am over the moon that Doore Chicken is coming to my hometown in Schaumburg. They'll be at Kai Mom's K-Food ToGo in the same shopping plaza as the Village Tavern & Grill on Wise Road. My Top 3 favorites: 1) Boneless Hot & Spicy Chicken (#10: spicy!!) 2) Boneless Sweet & Mild Chicken (#7) 3) Boneless Butter Garlic Snowing (#14) * Try 2 or 3 "half orders". This is the best Korean fried chicken you'll find in a food court just about anywhere. I've come here a handful of times and get the hot and spicy (and yes it is quite spicy) boneless chicken each and every time because it is just phenomenal! If you like sauciness, bold flavors, and spice, this is the chicken for you. It's so good that I'm drooling as I write this and think about how delicious it is (not even joking). As with any super flavorful Korean fried chicken, I recommend pairing it with a carb of some sort (like white rice or jajangmyeon/black bean noodles from a nearby stall). They actually sell a wide variety of things besides fried chicken though I've never tried them myself (but the photos of everything look great). A fried of mine always gets the filled taiyaki (the fish shaped pancake dessert). Although it resides in a food court, note that it's not fast food. Expect to wait 20ish minutes for the chicken - I promise it's worth it!

Takeaway: Arguably the best Korean Fried Chicken in the Chicagoland area, but the sauces could be a bit more exciting Context: Have both dined in and gotten takeout after grocery shopping at Assi. I've eaten lots of Korean Fried Chicken throughout my life, so am quite familiar with the dish. What I got: I've come here twice - don't remember exactly what I got the first time, but I know it was fried chicken and my overall feelings are pretty similar to what I wrote below on the Supreme Wings Supreme Wings (7.5/10) This was extremely solid Korean Fried Chicken - although it didn't blow my mind, it's definitely up there in terms of what I've had before. The biggest strength is in the texture of the wing itself - particularly the skin. There was a level of crispiness that's really what you're looking for when it comes to fried chicken. It wasn't distractingly crispy and oily like some American chains are (looking at you Popeyes) while also actually feeling like its fried and not just some limp, soggy skin like some other American chains (looking at you KFC). The texture of the chicken itself was also great - very well cooked chicken that remained tender. Overall, texturally, the chicken was exactly where you wanted. Where Doore falters a bit is in the flavor component. It isn't bad - it's simply a bit boring. They drizzle the sauce on the wings and while I'm sure that helps with the texture, the sauce becomes a bit uneven. To add on to this, the Supreme sauce isn't anything to write home about. It's a sweet and spicy mix that I feel like I've eaten a million times before. It's a pretty generic sauce that does the job, but certainly doesn't leave an impression. The flavor is also quite strong - I wasn't able to get a great idea of the natural flavor of the chicken and skin. I won't really fault Doore for that though, as that's kind of what you get when you order saucy wings. Next time I go, I'll probably try the hot and spicy wings or the classic fried chicken instead Don't get me wrong - Doore is wonderful and I want to make that clear. I think the flavors could be better, but that's only a piece of the puzzle for me when it comes to something as texture-dependent as fried chicken
