The food at this Taqueria Los Comales always hits the spot for me! The complimentary chips and pickled veggies are great. They even give salsa and lime for your food as well. I always get the carne asada tacos/burrito, and they always come out so tasty. You have to pair it with a nice cup of horchata as well! The service is always amazing when I go - they always check on us and take our order super quick. The ambiance is very nice and clean inside; I prefer this location because there's parking and a lot of seating inside the restaurant.

La verdad me decepcionó esta visita a Los Cómalés. Hace años que no iba al restaurante, pero esta vez quise regresar y la experiencia no fue buena. El menudo estaba totalmente desabrido, sin sabor, y las salsas también necesitan mucha mejora. A veces parece que los dueños o los gerentes pierden la noción de dar seguimiento a la comida. Yo sé que hay meseras con más de veinte años trabajando ahí, deberían pedirles a ellas que prueben el producto todos los días, no de vez en cuando. Especialmente si no hay recetas claras, o si las hay, deberían asegurarse de que los cocineros las sigan al pie de la letra, porque con el tiempo se hacen flojos y la calidad baja mucho. Ojalá pongan atención a estos detalles, porque Los Cómalés tiene historia y tradición, pero sin constancia en los sabores, la experiencia se pierde.

My husband and I have been here several times and have generally been pretty satisfied with the food and service. Unfortunately, our most recent visit didn't live up to our past experiences. We ordered six tacos--carne asada, chorizo, and lengua--but none of them were up to par this time. The chorizo was overly oily, the carne asada was a bit dry, and the lengua just wasn't appetizing. Also worth mentioning--the menus were noticeably dirty, which took away from the overall dining experience. We're hoping this was just an off day, as we've had much better visits in the past.

Unfortunately, the experience wasn't what it used to be. The food was disappointing, for starters. While it came out piping hot and impressively quickly, it was extremely bland! My grilled chicken burrito was the blandest burrito I've ever eaten. The protein needed more grilled flavor, and the quality of the sour cream and cheese shreds was poor. Both tasted noticeably sour, so either the quality started poor, and/or it was exacerbated by the containers being open and exposed too long. The tamales my husband ordered were dry and lacked flavor. For the quesadillas, you can get corn or flour tortillas. The one food highlight was the breaded chicken within my daughter's torta. That had a nice crunch to it. Service was fine. There's a lot of disposable materials used when dining in here: styrofoam plates and forks for the complementary chips and salsa, paper cups and straws for the drinks, and styrofoam to go containers. Would like to see them (go back to?) reusable utensils and cups, especially for diners eating in. Last note: the menu says to ask server for the full bar menu, but this is outdated. Just beer (bottles/cans) available. Overall, just not a quality meal for the $80 spent.

My man and I decided to grab dinner here Friday night. The location was nice and had its own parking lot which made things easier, not to mention it was nice and spacious inside. We picked a table and our waitress asked if we wanted anything to drink so we ordered two large Jamaicas because I noticed they don't serve water when you first sit down so that was a negative for me. I ordered the lengua taco dinner and my man got 6 Al pastor tacos. The portion was nice and came with rice, beans and a side salad. I didn't really enjoy the lengua because it was really bland and boring. We were both full nonetheless but I think the tacos are tiny. I'd still come back on a late night.

We usually go to the Los comales in the city, and we like it. Just so happened we're in Niles, so we decided to come here for dinner. We go the Al pastor tortas dinner, and 3 tacos (cecina, el pastor, birria) The food just didn't taste the same , the meat was really greasy, the Al pastor was really dry like you're eating crumbs, burnt ends. The only one that's good is Prbly the Cecina taco. The tortas was okay. Service wasn't bad, but the food just wasn't on par to other Los comales.

LC is just one of those go-to places for tacos for me. I really enjoy their steak and especially their Al Pastor tacos. Their Al Pastor doesn't come with chopped bits of pineapple and it's still delicious without. My only gripe is how tiny their tacos are. Probably 3 bites and you're done. But, they use quality and fresh tortillas which makes every bite feel like a fluffy pillow in between your teeth. The flavors are on 10 and I just keep coming back for more overpriced tiny tacos. Still-Very delicious! P.S...I still hate their parking lot.

I usually order carry out from here and eat at home with my family but this time, I went here for lunch and it is unbeatable. Such great flavors every time. The birria was amazing I think it's a new menu item because I've never had it from here before and I loved it, came out with the consomé too. I love the green salsa. Service is always kind and quick which I love. Was not super busy but we went on a week day during the lunch time so as expected. Have been coming for my whole childhood, will continue to come back.
