If you're not white, I strongly advise against spending your hard earned money here. Staff think it's appropriate to make racially insensitive remarks about you to others while you are within earshot. I was excited to try a new place with my friend to celebrate earning my Master's degree and starting a new job, but unfortunately I left with a bad taste in my mouth and the worst impression. I felt very uncomfortable and was absolutely shocked. I call on this business to do better and be better. Side note: Intermingle is a brand of red blend that is sold at Aldi for about $7 and tastes like the $7 glass of red wine I purchased here. My advice is to save your money and go to Aldi.

The only thing keeping this business going are the ladies that work there. The owner needs to clean this place up. Bathroom is terrible. Cheap wine glasses. Old & out dated. Put some money into this place.

I had the best experience today at Avenue Flower Shop & Wine Bar. First off their flowers are absolutely stunning and unique. I went in to order flowers to make some vases up for my sister's shower this weekend. After giving me a small tutorial on flower arranging the owner Sharon came to the conclusion that her store was not the best option for what I needed and recommended another route. I have never been more impressed with a business owner to give me her time and then not make the sale. I ended up picking up a bottle of rosé while I was there. The bartender asked me a few questions about what I liked in a wine and found me the perfect bottle on the first try. For sure will be heading back there for future flower and wine needs!!!!

I ordered Avenue flowers to Groupon for my mother. She sent me a picture and there was no daisies in them some other flower was in replacement and she love daisies. They called me to see how my flowers went and I told her I had a picture and there was no daisies. They refunded me $20. At least somebody called and rectified The problem. Going through Groupon the prices were much higher then on the website sale items

We used Avenue flower shop for our wedding, and I am SO glad I did. The owner is amazing to work with, communication was outstanding and the quality of their work is absolutely beautiful. Our order included a large wedding party, several centerpieces and we also rented an arch that they covered in flowers. They asked several questions to make sure I received exactly what I wanted, and delivery and set up was amazing. I definitely recommend avenue flower shop to future brides and any other floral needs!!

My husband ordered a bouquet for our anniversairy- he just told them Stargazer lillies & a price point, requested a morning delivery time to work. The bouquet turned out AMAZING! They were delivered right at 1130, which was first delivery slot, the flowers are gorgeous, so colorful! He was so happy & impressed when he saw how the florist arranged it around the the lillies. I LOVE them!

One of my favorite local spots to drink. All the bartenders at the wine bar are great! The wine is reasonably priced and they have a happy hour daily. Friendly place to have a glass of wine and get some pretty flowers!

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by this place. My friend had a Groupon for $29 which included a sampling of five wines for each of us and a shared snack platter. First, the atmosphere. Very chill and airy. It was a nice day, so a lot of natural light poured in and made the space seem big and calm. We were the only ones there, but it was 3pm on a Saturday so I'm sure more people were coming later. We just like to day drink. No shame. The reggae music in the background was a nice touch to the vibe of the place and made me feel really relaxed. Or maybe that was the five glasses of wine. Yes, the wine. Let's get to it. They have a good sized list of white and red wines, divided by sweet and dry. I'm not much of a wine drinker (beer is my thing) so I didn't really know where to start. The woman that was working at the time asked me what I've had in the past that I liked and made some good suggestions. And I ended up loving all the wine I tried. They say 2 oz. samples, but I feel like I got more than that. Hey, I'm not complaining! The snack was 16 slices of cheese and crackers. It was nice to munch on something while my body works to absorb all this wine. They have a whole slew of board games and live music at night (weekends only, I think). I think I would have a lot of fun here, drinking and playing board games and listening to some cool tunes. Like I said, it was surprising finding something cool in Oak Lawn but I loved it and I'll be back!
