This place is a hidden gem, not just because it's hidden from public view odd 95th but it's actually one of the best bars I've been too on the south side! I was referred here by a friend, I've never heard of this bar in my life either. This place has plenty of parking, there's no bouncer at the front door asking you to pay a fee. The crowd here is usually regulars, close knit people usually between (25-45) years of age. I felt comfortable here immediately and not out of place. The bartender Brandi* is phenomenal, fun to talk too, knows her customers well. The drinks here are cheap, they're good. Bathrooms are great, they have pinball for $0.50 a game! Definitely recommend this bar very much. Will be coming here more

So... there were people smoking inside and for that alone, I would think "Eek! Methinks not." My friend said it best, "I think we're in the Twilight Zone." It was clear that this was not our local bar, but it appears to be a great local bar for some people. I walked in and I felt everyone staring at me. It was bustling (over 25 people indoors), especially for 6 PM on a Thursday during a pandemic. Nobody was wearing a mask (not even the bartender) and there was a Trump sign over the beer display. Some folks were sitting at the bar near where I stood and one of them had a Trump sign in her hand. They were talking positively about him. There was a banner hanging on the outside of the building that said "West End." Someone had taken a ballpoint pen and drawn on it: pitchforks, the Star of David, and KK. In case the business owners flag this review, I want them (and Yelp) to know that my friends and I each bought a beer and sat outside (where even more people were smoking) and drank them. The bartender was nice and the beers were cold and cheap. I'm writing this review because we picked this place based on its proximity to where we were and it's phenomenal 4.5 star rating. We could have glanced at the pictures and seen the Blue Lives Matter sign ahead of time, but we didn't. Meaning of star ratings according to Yelp: 1 = Eek! Methinks not. 2 = Meh. I've experienced better. 3 = A-OK 4 = Yay! I'm a fan. 5 = Woohoo! As good as it gets!

Love the staff and the clients at The West End. Ken the owner is very accommodating to his customers. One of the best places in town for karaoke! Not sure why Yelp has at $$$$ as it has some great drink specials that are very reasonably priced AND they just started to carry JuicyLuzy Sangria!! Stop in atThe West End - you'll be glad you did!

My friend decided to have his birthday here. I had never heard of this bar, and neither had my other friend who is a frequent Oak Lawn bar hopper. It was pretty hard to find. Technically it's on Sayre and 95th, but it's actually across from residential houses, across 95th from the water tower. You have to turn onto New England in order to get to it. Look at a map before you come. Plenty of parking everywhere. The bar itself is pretty solid for a dive. It's fairly new, only having been open for almost a year. You can tell it has been newly painted, new tables, etc. Other than that, it's pretty divey. Not a craft beer in sight, a sad affair for a craft lover like me. Oh, well they do have 312 and Blue Moon, so I guess that counts? They just have your basic domestics and imports and a full liquor bar (or so it seemed). I had a bottle of Coors and it smelled like vomit. I couldn't even drink it it was so bad. Returned it for another. They also are lacking on the bartenders. They only had two and it took almost 10 minutes to get a drink. They have a pool table and a dart board so if you don't want to watch the game, you can play one yourself. They also have one of those music play things so you can pick songs to play. I highly recommend doing the "use a credit to have your song play third" option because I never heard my song and I was there for 3 or 4 hours. The crowd was surprisingly young, but that may have been because there was a lot of us from the same group. A group of 20 will pretty much own the bar. The bathroom only had one stall for the ladies but it was nice enough. What was strange and surprising to me was that on the sink, they had a bunch of products for you to freshen up: lotion, hair spray, perfume, etc. It was weird, but nice if you want to keep up your appearance for the night. Overall, it's a solid option in Oak Lawn if you're looking for a quiet dive. No one will bug you here.

Nice and cozy! Very clean bathrooms, always a plus. Drinks are great and I got to go when Dj Loud Lucy was in and she was amazing. It's definitely tucked away but it's got a spacious parking and small patio! Will return when in the area!

Great little local bar. Off the beaten place but a total little gem. Bartender Shana always a pleasure and the drinks are perfectly priced! They have poker/ slot machines in addition to pool table and many many tv screens to check out any game of interest. I will be back again!
