This was our first visit here at Palos Country Club, and it was for the Easter Brunch event they put together. There are not a lot of places that are open for big parties on Easter in the south suburbs of Chicago, and we thought to give Palos Country Club a try ... and glad we did. In the end Palos sold out the main dining room for the Easter Brunch ... they had maybe 400 guests for the event. With cold tables, hot tables, and a dessert table ... the food was plentiful and replenished frequently. We liked the fact that they did not turn the tables; even though the brunch was from 10 am to 3 pm, you had the table as long as you wanted. So if you showed up early, you could sit and have a drink while you waited for the rest of your gang ... nice idea. Along with the food tables they have a cash bar ... and they mean cash, not credit cards. Whoever your server was did the running between the bar and your table. At the end of your meal you simply paid her cash for the bar tab ... which was very reasonable. The banquet manager ... who probably sold you the tickets to the brunch ... walked the floor constantly keeping everything just right. We think she did a great job managing the affair and didn't leave anything to chance. We don't know anything about the golf course, but the food and ambiance and room for the Easter Brunch was a 5 star hit. We'll be back.

Went for the Easter Brunch with a party of 12. The food was terrible all cold and half the items they said where on their brunch menu were not available. The waffles were as hard as hockey pucks. All food was over cooked. The dessert selection was very limited and tasted store bought. Very disappointing for $65 a person. Dont recommend to anyone.

As a venue for a memorable event, 5 stars! My son and daughter-in-law had their wedding here. The ceremony was outdoors at the gazebo, the reception was in the grand ballroom. every aspect of the event was top shelf. The room is excellent, big windows with nice views of the golf course. Delicious food and the servers were hustling.

If you are a golfer, this "country club" is perhaps the worst. I have never experienced a course kept in worse condition...not even Chicago Forest Preserve courses! The fairways are nothing but a bed of weeds. The bunkers are like cement and the greens have moguls! Unbelievable. I have also never experienced fairways that have a rough in the middle (no, it shouldn't be there, but that's how poorly the "greenskeepers" keep it). Don't bother attempting to golf there after a rain, either. Several of their holes are under water. The real kicker is how much they charge (walking OR riding) for a course that is so poorly kept! There are much finer courses in the area that charge less. The employees/management at this club lack customer service skills, too. They are NOT a pleasure to do business with. It's amazing that this place is still in business. Sad. Overall, find another place to take your business. The food is mediocre (and overpriced), the drinks are overpriced, the golf is HIGHLY overpriced for the condition of the course. My advice is to go where you will be appreciated as a customer and where you get a much better value for your money.

My friend just had her wedding here recently and I could not have been left more disappointed in the bartenders and wait staffs poor service/attitude. Numerous times the staff had raised their voices and made rude remarks to the bridal party and guests. They were not helpful, clearly understaffed, and harsh the entire day/night. Palos would not allow us at Murphys bar for the extra hour that was promised (and paid for). When the bride spoke with Pat about why they weren't getting their extra hour, she was cold and rude and ultimately left the bride in tears!!! It was an extremely frustrating moment considering no one at Palos seemed to care about providing quality service the entire wedding nor did they put an ounce of effort to try to make the bride/grooms day special. Food was good. Would not recommend if you are considering having your wedding here.

I came here last weekend for a bridal shower, and it was lovely. The views in our room were just awesome- the golf course looked well maintained and pretty. The service was on point- we saw the waitresses often and they were able to accommodate requests from our group (i.e. for soda and more coffee), and they refilled our punch bowls and pans of food when needed. As for the food, it was buffet style and everything I had was good! Tender beef, chicken that wasn't dry, all dishes were served hot too. I would be open to hosting an event here in the future!

I had my daughter's wedding shower there 2 weeks ago and my friends are still talking about it. From the start Jamie the banquet manager was super accommodating and laid back. Every request (including a last minute change from brunch to dinner) was met with "No problem". Even when the florist ruined our centerpieces, it was Jamie and crew to the rescue. The food was fantastic and the bartender was pouring very generously :) The staff made our evening flow so smoothly, I would not hesitate to book our next event here!

Played there today, course was in horrible condition as usual but we play there because its close and only $29.00. I had a terrible experience with the golf ranger Bill. I can't believe a paying customer like myself was treated so rudely. My 30th wedding anniversary is coming up this year and my plan was to play a quick 9 and then get some info about hosting the party there, we are inviting about 70 people. Needless to say we are going to look elsewhere because of Bill. I wonder if management knows how much money your losing them Bill. If you treated me like that I'm sure there are others. Mark D

I worked here and it was HORRIBLE. the supervisor (PAT) was HORRIBLE to us and her excuse was that she's old. I don't think I would ever go back to this place, it was such a bad experience for me. To make it worse some old employees went back and they told me the supervisor was making stuff up about me. I 100% do not recommend working here. If I could put 0 stars i would. Also the other employees (the older ones) were so rude. Always giving us attitude and the supervisor didn't care about how they treated us but if we would stick up for ourselves she would get super mad at us. These people do not know how to run a business.

These people are jerks. I don't know if they were workers or managers but they acted very very disrespectful and unprofessional to the people who attended the Middle Eastern Wedding. I don't know if they were just having a bad day or they were racist against Arabs. I attached a picture of this one lady who was the worst. I said hi to her and she ignored me.
