The quality of the products was reliably good. I was driving by just before the Thanksgiving holiday and stopped by the purchase the meats for my dinner. My problem with CHICAGOLAND HAMS is in their truth in advertising. They have recently made two (2) significant operational changes. First, they have gone to a flat rate pricing system. In other words, a turkey roast between 3-5 pounds has a flat price of, for instance, $30. That policy applies to all of their meat products. The second operational change is that they ONLY have curbside pickup. Do I drove up and told the employee that I wanted a 3-5 pound turkey roast and a 5-7 pound beef roast. The worker entered the store and moments later returned to my car. She advised me that both pieces of meat were available in the weights I had requested. She stated the total cost would be $94.95, including tax. I proceeded to give her my credit card card. She returned with the parcel and a receipt indicating the cost of the turkey was $31.00 and the beef was $59.00. When I arrived home, I opened the parcel. The price tag on the turkey was $28.85. The pricing on the beef indicated that the roast was $6.69 per pound; the wright was 1 pound and the cost was $6.69, By my calculations of the posted prices, my costs should have been $35.54 plus tax! An overcharge of over $60. I immediately phoned CHICAGOLAND HAMS to express my concerns. It was at the time I was made aware of the flat rate pricing. I was told to send in a copy of my receipt to the owner and the difference would be refunded. I did so and provided pictures of both articles of meat prominently displaying the price tags on each. Today, the owner wrote back that I was owed $1.02. But because of her benevolence, she was going to give me a $5 credit towards a future purchase! RESPONSE TO MY OUTREACH RE: MERCHANDISE OVERCHARGE Dear Ms Powers, We have gone to a per item pricing system which is the industry norm for on line ordering. If you read the label of the beef roast in the picture you sent us, you will see that it states Honey Beef Roast Weight sticker only. It is a weight tag, not a price tag. The per pound price of the beef roasts before we changed to per piece was $8.99/pound, meaning your roast would have cost $60.13, so you would have been under charged for the beef by $1.13. The turkey does have one of the older stickers that reflects the former weight pricing. Using your calculations, you should receive a credit for the turkey The difference is $2.15. The net difference would be a credit owing for $1.02. Far easier than sending a check for such a small amount, I can offer you a credit for $5 on your next purchase. I received a ham for Christmas and was astounded at the excellent flavor and texture. A true gem making Christmas dinner outstanding. I will be a regular customer from now on. Thankfully they ship to Florida. I would recommend them to all ham lovers.

I didn't like the customer service I received. When I ordered my Xmas ham I wanted it delivered to my house. After giving my address I decided I wanted to pick it up and save the 12.95 delivery fee. The lady on the phone was exasperated! I apologized " for all her trouble". My ham was near 70 bucks & they should appreciate my business! When I picked up my ham I paid cash & wasn't given a receipt. I had to ask for it! Once again " sorry to put you out". I will not be ordering from here again!. I've ordered an easter ham & many for parties- but never again.

Best ham there is!! This is a family owned business opened since 1968 they are not affiliated with the honey baked ham franchise. All the products have a special sweet glaze so yes they will be sweet if they have glaze they are sweet even the turkey. Theres roasts that are delicious and easy to cook, and the meatloaf is also delicious. Same owners same products different name!!

First time ever for Easter 2015, ordered half ham and 3lb turkey breast. Ham was good but had conflicting baking instructions on sheet versus online. Turkey breast was way too sweet and reminded me of processed meat, did not like at all. Family would not eat turkey just because of how it looked.. Extremely disappointed. Spoiled my meal.
